Your Video Game Hall of Fame

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

My first online experience was with Duke Nukem 3D, modem-to-modem with my friend down the street. I'm still more of an offline gamer when it's all said and done but it did pique my interest and it added some new life to a game I'd already played to death.

You guys will be proud of me.

NBA Live 2000. Got my ass kicked by my friend. I gave the excuse that he won because he had a flight simulator esk joystick and I was "stuck" with the keyboard.

After that, Socom 1 and Amplitude were my first online addictions. And fittingly, now it is Halo 3 and RockBand2. huh....
Opinions are my own.

I'll buy that. By that point NBA Live's controls included enough functions to make keyboard play a bit more of a hassle, throw out any other factors in the loss I say. (Y)

Late reply, but Jao sucks.
Give me a keyboard and let me use Reggie Miller in Live 2000 and he'll drop 100 pts. in your ass on the highest difficulty.
HE'S USING HYPNOSIS!

Had to doublecheck to make sure that at least Doom II was on my list. Primitive by today's standards and it's hard to fathom a FPS without a proper jump control but it was a lot of fun. I preferred II to the original myself.

Bump!

No, but I do feel the need to add Rallycross (PS1) to my HoF games.

Also, I think Minecraft has been around long enough, and been played long enough by myself, to count.

If we're updating our lists:

Portal series-has to be in my top 10...these 2 games are the best gaming experiences ive ever had

Batman Arkham Series-City more than Asylum...my god. Also top 10.

Madden might replace 2k after ive gone back and played some 2k lately. They didnt age well.

Fallout 3/NV-make 60 hours feel like 5 minutes.

I'm too lazy to modify my previous list, but my main change would be the addition of Skyrim to the very top. There's nothing that I've ever played quite as much (even though Oblivion and Fallout would not be that far behind), and for me this is the best PC game ever made.

Should reboot the five games, one island thread: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=83975

I still can't figure out my five, and none of you helped.

Definitely, I'd add Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas to my list for sure. NBA 2K11 and NBA 2K12 would probably be there as well.
