Ball fake and fake step, back dribble

anyone know how to do the fake step? when you choose your favorite team in my nba live, it shows a player, lets say paul pierce and he does fake step and whatnot and also a dribble backwards step like in nba live 2003, anyone figure this out yet?

there is also a way to dribble backwards.

When you're moving towards the basket, tap back on the right analog stick.

To dribble backwards, you just have to move the left analog stick in the opposite direction. If you move the left analog stick in the right way, you can dribble sideways and backwards.

the problem is, i'm a keyboard guy. i dont own or ever used a controller.

Since you're using the keyboard, I don't think you can perform all of the Freestyle moves while moving. I could be wrong though - I've never fully explored Freestyle using the keyboard, since I purchased a Thrustmaster Firestorm last year.

using keyboard, try down+pro-hop button for the step back. not sure though

unfortunately they removed the option for a fake pass this year.

guys i figured it out!!!!


when your player has the ball and hasn't dribbled yet, hold down the crossover button and pusing idfferent directions.


this is great! they mover the ball around, turn the player so his back is facing the basket, do a dribble backwards, pivot step, shoulder fake, etc


this works. and when you do the fakes then go at your guy, you usually have a fast first step on the guy. i used it with reggie miller driving to the basket when his shots wouldnt fall.
