I'm still playing pro evo 6. I update the roster and players myself. I made obertan to add to manchester and he was fun to play with.

I used to be into Pro Evo but they lost me this year. I play FIFA09 a bit, it's not bad (unlike all of their other games). Wish they'd update the rosters on Xbox Live though so I didn't have to put up with 90% of people picking Man U and playing Ronaldo as a striker.

Very true. Alot of people (including myself) see the EPL as the best & the toughest league in the world. If you prove yourself there, you can pretty much play anywhere in the world.

I've been playing FM09 a little bit... it's kinda slow though, hard to get into. Loved FM08 though you should pick it up.

I was thinking bout picking up FM09, I heard theres 3D view now and that, not that it really matters for me since I just loved how many options and features there are to the game itself from a Manager's point of view as well as a Clubs, things to do are just endless. Shits all over Fifa Manager imo.

Every time a person chooses a team with fast fowards, I always choose Man City (especially when Jo was there, before the last roster update) Micah Richards + Vincent Kompany = Unbreakable. and then I would have Robinho on the left SWP on the right Jo up front Elano just behind. Would destroy teams to pieces with that team.

This years Pro Evo was worthless, so cartoonish imo. Fifa this year done a great job lets hope they can continue it onto Fifa 10.

We are two. With the PES 2008 shit, a lot of patching sites continued to support PES6. It' my favourite...

On the news, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal for Real Madrid today. Only, in his own net. Oh, can't stop laughing.

Holy hell, Inter are going to ass rape Barca beyond belief...

BBC wrote:Barcelona and Inter Milan have reached an agreement in principle to swap Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Barca forward Samuel Eto'o, plus cash.

Reports suggest Barca will pay about £35m, plus 28-year-old Eto'o, in return for Ibrahimovic, 27.

In addition, Alex Hleb will spend a season on loan at the Italian club

I knew that they were going to be swapped, but an extra 35 mill and Hleb on loan aswell  They can buy Lescott now

It was his first training, not a friendly match... I can't find anything either (in English, all I found was in Spanish, from newspapers in Spain).

Oh training. You never said training that's why I assumed it was their first friendly match but checking now on YouTube Real have won their first game against Shamrock Rovers (Irish team) 1-0 thanks to Karim Benzema.

Found this vid on some of his highlights during the game

I wonder if when Ronaldo had been ugly, would people still be talking so much about him?

I read some talk/rumors about Mascherano being tired of living in England and wanting a move to Barca. I hope he goes. I don't really care about Mascherano or Barca. I dislike liverpool though. Masch to barca and Alonso to real. That would be cool.

People would still talk about him as much, he just wouldn't be as marketable. Franck Ribery is ugly as sin but everyone knows how good he is, but you're not going to see him on any giant billboards anytime soon thank god.

Well Toure is yet another victim of City's signing frenzy.

Btw, congrats on becoming an Administrator Jae. (Y)

Thanks man. I'm shocked about Toure. I saw Adebayor saying he wanted him to join him, didn't expect it to happen. God knows what Arsenal are going to do if they don't spend.

:chug: Yeah congratulations.

Some good games coming up: On Wednesday Man United vs Boca(from Argentina. Best team ever). And then of course, there's Bayern Munich against Milan. Interesting week coming up considering there are no important tournaments being played at the moment.

Oh one question, is Ibrahimovic going to Barcelona?

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Mon Jul 27, 2009 3:48 pm

Yeah I think he was unofficially unveiled today, I read something about him being photographed posing in front of the Barca logo with some officials.

If you know a bit about Boca, what do you think of Rodrigo Palacio? I saw him play once on SBS (foreign channel here, shows Argentine football sometimes) and I thought he was great but seemed to be ignored by European clubs for a while. He's just signed with Genoa.

It's official now, Ibrahimovic to Barca and Eto'o aswell as Hleb to Inter (Eto'o passed a medical yesterday)

Ibrahimovic: I Am Not Here To Replace Samuel Eto'o

"Eto'o is part of the history book of this club and he will always be a hero here," said Ibrahimovic to the massed ranks of reporters.

"I have not come to replace Eto'o – I am somebody different, somebody new, but I will try to achieve as much as Eto'o did, or even more.

It's a shame that football players have to change clubs just to be able to keep their performance up to previous years levels. It used to be enough just to be able to play, to make sure one would want to become better than before. Nowadays they are so rich and jaded. Worst thing, it's not even their own fault. This whole obsession with entertainment and celebrity is one of the weirdest things of human culture, as far as I am concerned.

Palacio was the best player in the country a couple of years ago, Lazio offered around 20M euros for him. Boca didn't sell him and he went downhill from there... he was sold to Genoa for around 5M.

Ibrahimovic to Barça... happiest dude on the planet :D

They should change the way competitions work. It should be lots of small tournaments instead. Leading into one final tournament. Would be more exciting.
