Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Funny story, you know when they were picking the seat to give away the Ray Allen retro jersey. I was in the exact same seat 2 rows down, section 111, row 23, seat 7 instead of row 25. I could have put that on instead of my Marbury jersey once the Suns started loosing.

Oh yea, and later on I got the Family Guy boxed set, and "The NBA's 100 greatest Plays." The 100 greatest is 10 dunks, 10 assists, 10 clutch plays etc. It's awesome.

What about my cheese? In a sort of indirect way it could be related. It is a product of nature and a symbol of good will, and should some how be related to Jesus... :P

Cool. So is it worth getting an xbox for? :P What kinds of things can you do in Franchise? I heard you can hire coaches and stuff? Does this actually have any affect on your team?

Somewhat. If you hire a bad scout you dont get much info on players your gonna be drafting. I think the coaches may have something to do with player progression.

Its a good game and all, very good looking, but the isomotion is what I dont like. You press the crossover button or analog, but you cant control the number of crossovers that he does. Unless you point it down and he does a stepback move. Freestyle brought me back to Live. Its just not as fun as Live is. But it beats Live in nearly every catagory.

I prefer ESPN. Though its IsoMotion isn't that great, I'm not a big fan of freestyle, and I set the Controller Figuration so crossover is "B" and the right thumbstick is a directional pass. I've been with Sega since 2K1, and I'm just so used to it all. It no doubt has better graphics, and if you've been with EA since the early days, you'll prefer Live's gameplay, but if you've been with Sega since the early days, you'll prefer ESPN's gameplay. I'm also hooked on 24/7 Mode! I recommend you play ESPN before you buy it, because it's either for you or not at all for you.

I've been with sega since 2k1 too. Back when there was only a behind the back dribble or regular crossover. Back when you couldnt even edit the players ratings. Thats when all i had was a dreamcast and pc. I had played live but then it wasnt as good. 24/7 mode is pretty addictive. As you said 'It's
either for you or not at all for you.' Its not for me.

yup, something like that. I didn't think she was gonna go all out, i would've been happy with just the camera. But, the Tiffany's necklace and earrings themselves--made up for those jerseys. I asked her "do you even know who Pistol Pete is?" and she said "yeah, he's white" and i was like "that's it" and she said "oh and he was a good basketball player". That made me laugh. I found out my best friend helped her pick out the jereys.

--Dirtdog--I feel you man--I let her borrow it when she went to Montreal and when i got it back it was acting weird--so she got me the 5700 too. That's funny .

It was a good christmas.

I didn't get much....since my parents have loaned me like a grand in the last year, they said I only have to pay back half...kind of a birthday present, too, but they gave me a digi cam for my birthday...they gave me a $25 gift card and $30 for gas money, too. Not bad, but not much of anything...

My girlfriend got me a sweater, a button up shirt, and boxers from American Eagle and then a friggin' insanely nice watch (silver Guess watch with an embedded diamond), got some more gift cards, a few CDs (Coldplay, Josh Kelly, John Mayer). My brother hasn't gotten me anything yet, but whatever it is, it'll be cool. He might just say I don't have to pay him back for his brand new furniture (he's taking a job in London). Then the usual stocking stuffers....

I probably dropped $300+ on my girlfriend...got depressed when I saw my credit card statement, but it was worth it when I saw her face. :)

I have a pretty good feeling about this game, from what i've heard it has everything i like in a basketball game. I'm pretty easily impressed too, so if it has lots of little cool things i'll be like "WOW!". I'm a huge fan of Franchise modes, and from what i've heard, franchise is ESPN's best mode. 24/7 mode sounds awesome, i'll probably play that for days on end!
I've seen some small videos of this game and the gameplay looks a little dull... the players are kinda stiff and dont move around much. But i really like how the players are shiny. hehe. i dunno maybe i'm wrong about the gameplay?

Its a great game. It just doesnt suit me. The gameplay isnt quite as uptempo as live but its still fun. You may get tired of seeing the same dunks though. Almost everyone in the game that can dunk(Maybe Gilbert Arenas for example) can do that Lebron James sky-walker dunk.(His sig that he always did in Highschool.) The players look really nice though. When they shoot freethrows(some even have specific routines a la Jason Kidd) You can see every feature on them. Since you are gonna get an XBox you'll even be able to read their tatoos. If you dont like the gameplay it has enough extras to keep you content for the rest of the time.

Well i bought the game!

I love it. (Y) it's the most complete basketball game i've ever played, it's like it specializes in everything. 24/7 as a mode is better than NBA Street alone. Franchise is as good as , if not better, than those programs on the internet that specialize in sim only. the gameplay is great imo, it's a little limited because you can't call offensive plays as easily (you gotta push two buttons, where as in nba live you push the dpad), you can't double team (well i think you can but i havent figured out how yet) and it only has 1 shoot button and no pro-hop. But it just feels so realistic to me! It is exactly like a live ESPN TV Broadcast and i love that kinda thing! Sure it has it's flaws but every game does, I would definetly reccomend it to anybody who's an NBA fan. (Y)(Y)
