True, though if I were Reinsdorf I wouldn't want to have to pay the luxury tax either. And he wouldn't if not for a couple of other bad contracts, which of course brings us back to Paxson.

You forgot about Nocioni's huge contract. He's not worth that. Luckily, he found someone to take him.
Well, then you have the Thomas-Aldridge trade. That was unforgivable.

Well hindsight is always 20-20, and Thomas at the time had a major rise in his stock after playing so well for LSU (I'm sure that almost every analyst were raving that his shortcomings on his fundamentals could be overcome with his fiery attitude) while Aldridge was labelled as a "softie" (he got manhandelled by Thomas in the tournament didn't he?) who would make a living off of just shooting mid range jumpers.

Well I've got about six remotes, so that would've just been too painful. ;)

True, though they were at least able to move Nocioni for a couple of players who have worked out in the brief time they've been with the team. They're still feeling the pinch of Hinrich and Deng's contracts, as well as Wallace's to a certain extent as they had to take on Hughes' contract to get rid of him and then a couple of other lousy contracts to get rid of Hughes, including Jerome James. They've got a few expiring contracts now of course, but meanwhile Gordon walks.

Thomas/Aldridge doesn't look quite as bad at the moment, still not great but with Thomas getting some more regular minutes and playing reasonably well it's not as big a blunder as it looked a year ago in my opinion.

Yeah I'm not sold that Aldridge would have developed as well without Roy by his side.

Possibly, but since that's the way things went it's up to Thomas to pan out for the Bulls for that trade to look good for both sides.

Haha I’m glad someone sees this. Aldridge overall has been the better player but he’s still not the inside presence the bulls were looking for… on both ends. He’s a poor rebounder and is brad sellers like on offense. It’s worth noting that if Aldridge was on the bulls he'd be their best big man though ;)

But yeh- Thomas did go nuts against Texas as well as Duke too haha

And Andrew- if we never got Wallace, we probably would not have been lottery bound 2yrs back and get Rose ;)

The Pistons also lands new coach John Kuester, the assistant coach from Cleveland.

I was half expecting them to land Avery Johnson. Maybe Kuester will be good too, we'll see.

At first, they are Cleveland's main rivals, and now, if that wasn't enough, they just sign Cleveland's assistant coach. :x

Not necessary, but I guess it is better when your coach is a former assistant coach for Cleveland.

Especially since Brown let his assistants do more than other coaches. It was more like football coaching with coordinators.

Everybody knows Cleveland's strategies.

1. Give the ball to LeBron and stay out of the way.
2. Give the ball to LeBron and dump the ball to teammates when he feels like it.

New additional strategies:

3. Give the ball to Shaq and get out of the way.
4. Give the ball to LeBron, drive, and dump it to Shaq.
5. Give the ball to Shaq and he'll kick it to LeBron/teammates if Shaq feels like it.

I'll name another one:

6. Twice a year give the ball to Mo and let him score 40+ points.

But you pretty much nailed it. Especially after what happened in the playoffs. But if it works, I'm ok with that.
