Well, he certainly had his demons and "eccentricities" to say the least and for people to call some of those things weird or unusual was a fair call.

Dont know if you guys heard about this yet but UK newspaper, the Suns, published an article called "The shock findings of the Michael Jackson autopsy". Pretty shocking but it's quite a good read.

I heard a few of those things in the last couple of days. He doesn't seem to have been a well man in his final years.

Agreed. I'd believe it but it was a surprise nevertheless.

I'd buy it too, his hair never look natural, not to me anyway. Besides, that bald patch he has on the side of his head as a result from when his hair caught fire when shooting a Pepsi add was completely gone for no reasons.

Still very sad though, and if there was ever any doubt about all his cosmetic surgeries - and there probably were a few diehards who were in denial - we certainly have proof of it now. I suppose when it comes to comedy everyone has to be fair game, but it's beyond all the jokes it really does seem like he was a troubled human being.

It really is sad. I'm not a "big" fan of his but I'm still saddened by his death everytime I think about it.

He was a fine man though, I dont even think he ever molested that child, his family just wants to rip some money off Jackson. Hell, that child who claimed Jackson molested him was nowhere close to being small. Besides, who would sit there still and let someone play with you like that?

Well, a lot of children do out of fear and I suppose we couldn't rule it out 100%. That said, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt as far as molestation is concerned but some of the things he did were certainly unusual and eyebrow raising.

That's true, he was definitely an easy target at some point, but that being said, it's hard to forget the fact that in his own words, it's "okay and beautiful to sleep with children" who are not your own...

Exactly the kind of thing I was thinking of. It's a bit odd, if nothing else.

Like Elvis, Michael started out great, but sadly turned into a drug-addicted parody of himself. Did he molest kids? The system acquitted him, but many think he did. Who knows?

I stopped being a fan when started doing all that self-hating crap, but his early J5 music was a big influence on me growing up.

The suggestions that he was gay are worth mentioning here. I guess it could be true and I have no way of refuting it, but it's not like you can believe everything you read especially in a tabloid quoting unnamed "sources", so who knows. Whatever the case may be with all these accusations, as I said before I think it's clear he was actually a very troubled man. At the end of the day I suppose everyone is fair game to comedians and journalists, but I don't know...it's done with now, just let the man rest in peace a while before diving back into all the accusations and investigations.

That reminds me, I've been wondering whether South Park will do another Michael Jackson episode when they return later this year for the second half of Season 13.

I dont think they should, I read in the newspaper this morning that a lot of scenes are deleted from a numbers of films because Michael Jackson was mentioned or joked about in the film.

I'm a bit torn on that one. It would be a little disrespectful and I think the classy thing to do would be to leave him alone and seek out something else to make an episode about, however if everyone is fair game you can't fairly say he's off-limits. And while I wouldn't really compare Steve Irwin and Michael Jackson, Jackson being much, much more significant in terms of having an impact on pop culture, if you can joke about his death a couple of weeks after it happens then surely one could joke about Michael Jackson's passing a few months later.

BUT...at this point, could you really do any Michael Jackson jokes that are fresh? I mean, even the ones that came up immediately following his death were pretty much rehashing the same ones people have been telling for close to 20 years now. South Park already did their Michael Jackson episode and made a couple of good points while also satirising racial profiling and getting a couple of cheap shots in. Doing another ep would just be a rehash, so probably best if they just steered clear.

I meant those scenes were cut off because they contained Michael Jackson related material that were included before his death. Because MJ is dead now, they're removing it to show respect for him. :D Apparently they joked about him before he died, and now that he is dead all the actors/directors are asking for those scenes to be removed.

I know, but I'm also talking about jokes at his expense. As I said everyone's fair game, but at this point an original Michael Jackson joke is hard to come by.

Doesn't matter, any movie that'd have a Michael Jackson joke in it is almost assured to be unoriginal in the first place.

The sudden shift from June 24th full of pedophile and plastic surgery jokes to having no reason to live on June 25th shows how destructive and disgusting our celebrity worship culture is.

Although not as disgusting as the around the clock coverage of his death for four days was.

I don't think it's just limited to celebrities though. It seems most people change their tone when someone dies or becomes terminally ill. I've yet to hear a eulogy that opines someone was a miserable bastard and the world is a better place without them.
