Creative argument, but it doesn't work. On Hollinger's description of PER, the lowest benchmark is 9, meaning 9 is like 0. Anything below that and you are completely detrimential to the team. With that in mind, I think its more like:
11/6 = 1.83
65/53 = 1.23

Too big of a dropoff for four years of inflation.
In 2004 100 euro's would buy me 120 US dollars. Today I'd get 140. That's almost 20% already without inflation.
