What was the Warriors mascot in 08-09?

Postby Chaser7 on Thu Jul 02, 2009 9:13 am

Does anyone know what was the new mascot? Last year I heard that the Warriors had to get rid of their old mascot, "Thunder" because the NBA wouldn't allow there to be a team named Thunder and have a different team use the name as a mascot. Anyways, who did the Warriors replace "Thunder" with? I've always been curious, but never heard anything mentioned in the papers or on Tv (the few times I was able to see them, I was away at college). Did they just not have a mascot this year?"

It's Oklahoma's fault if so, the NBA shouldn't have allowed Oklahoma to take that cheesy Thunder name.

They should been called the Assholes

Just imagine a big ass as their mascot. That would bring a lot of sponsorship  (Y)

I believe their mascot is still called Thunder despite the situation with Oklahoma City.
