Postby Dee. on Tue Jun 23, 2009 4:48 am

So looking at some Nba Rumors,i saw this : http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-yaoming-cavaliers&prov=ap&type=lgns .
Could this be real that Cavs Part Owners Chinsese Want Yao Ming in Cavs? That's kind of weird if the trade would be done.I Guess Big Z Would be Moved to PF position.Tho i don't think this trade will be complete.

I heard Lebron is coming to Houston because the owner is American.

Unless I missed something, it's not really a trade rumor. Just that the team might like to sign or somehow acquire Yao Ming in the future.

There doesn't seem to be much to it at this point. In fact, the sentiment dances the line of being politically incorrect with the suggestion that just because the Cavaliers have some minority owners who are Chinese, they will naturally want to bring in Yao (and presumably other Chinese players). In any case, I doubt it's happening anytime soon. The Rockets are no doubt concerned about Yao's persistent injury problems but I don't think they'd give him up too readily. Especially without getting something that could greatly help in moving on in a new direction (ie a franchise player or a top three pick) in return.

There's probably very few teams who wouldn't be interested. I doubt the Cavs are even pursuing him though, seems like idle talk simply because the Cavs have part owners who are Chinese.

Yeah, that's just the sense of that rumor. I wish Yao will spend his entire career with the Rockets. :D

If the Cavs could get him would be really good, but what do they have that Houston would want?

They already have Shaq and Ilgauskas.
And, also, there are serious doubts about Yao's future, so I don't think they're interested.

No way the cavs will get them they have Shaq and Z and Yao's injury could possibly be career ending. That would be to much of a risk.
