it worked for me. this might be caused by to many players not havin iffs meaning blank white body in game. did u guys try loading the iffs that came with the file befoe trying an association?

1. how do you load .iff files
2. i couldn't even get to association mode because the game crashed a second after i loaded the roster.

take the iffs provided in the download and put them in your nba2k9folder

For those who got problems, i make little tutorial. It`s on Russian but you may understand.

It may help, but not in every case. I don`t know why, but after these it work fine to me. Look out for new update!

Changing the compatibility? NBA 2K9 is compatible with Vista and XP (32 and 64 bit). Another possbility why that solution would work is if you have "different" exe.

Yeah, I now this=) Sorry, but i forgot change colleges/nationalities of the prospects, but some builds are changed!

Ugh... And I just remembered the usefulness of saving. Had changed every prospects eyes/builds/origins, then go into player development drills, and my game crashes.

Alright, here's my "fixed" version of the association file. All prospects are from their correct origins, except for Rudy Fernandez, Marc Gasol, and Petteri Koponen, as Spain and Finland are not choices. These players are listed as being from American International. You might be able to fix this after the draft using FlyingFinn's editor, but I haven't checked. Additionally, I made some edits to Greg Oden, as his ratings and tendencies were slightly atrocious (high 3pt tendency, low post defense/block/rebounding ratings). He is now a reasonable choice for #1 pick, besides the injuries and foul tendencies. I also edited Yao Ming, to reflect his tendencies for the 2006-07 season (fewer hook shots, more turnarounds, and turned the drive rating completely down), giving him more realistic statistics, but they still need work. A few more rating changes might be in order to get the roster a realistic simulation of the 2006-07 season, but right now it's acceptable.

EDIT: Here's a micro-update with Andrew Bynum listed correctly as a sophomore, instead of a rookie. I used FlyingFinn's editor to do this.

84 for Oden its too many, and potential 84 too... If you trying help me, don't change ratings, ok?

Right, I think the 84 rating was a by-product of some expermintation, but the 84 potential is reasonable. I mean, you can't go exclusively by what he looked like after a freak injury. He's a filled-out seven-footer with a good amount of athleticism and post defense skills. He's got potential. That's why he was the number one pick.
But I'll leave the ratings alone, besides my personal files. It's your roster, after all.

What about the 2004-05 patch? Is that finished? The one in this thread doesn't work when i try loading the rosters. Any fix or updates?
