Hey NLSC!!!

Wow it has been a long time since I came here. To be honest, I completely forgot about this place. I moved to Ireland and pretty much stopped going on the internet for awhile because the house I was living in didn't have it. Then once we got it NLSC just never popped in to my head. I'm back living in Chicago now preparing for my Irish girlfriend to move here. Turns out I was more than correct about her. We are engaged and looking forward to getting married in Ecuador in April. I'm not even sure if anyone I know here is still around. I would mostly love to see if Jackal, Jae, Cyanide, Riot or Andrew are still around. Those are the only names I really remember. I'm sure Andrew is still running things as always, but I'd be surprised if the rest of you are around. Anyways, sorry if this is a self-indulgent thread, I'm sure most current members don't have any idea who I am anyways, but I wanted to say "Hi" to those of you who were around back in the day.

Yes me too. He is an excellent defender and improved every aspect of his game once he finally started getting playing time. Because it took O'Brien so long to get him in the rotation he will still be in rookie development stages for the first half of next year, but by the 2010-2011 season he will be a very solid starting 2 guard. Confidence has been his biggest issue.

I always thought we had a really good thing going on and now you can't even remember me :(.

Anyways, that's just a bizzare turn of events. Weren't you a Pacers fanboy and talking about going to college (was it Butler University?) and playing college ball? And now you're Irish, banging an Irish and talking about marrying in bloody Ecuador. You tell me you've started to root for the Celtics and the world as I have know it is gone.

I did go to Butler for a semester. (Wow that was a long time ago now.) My intention was to walk-on for them as opposed to play D2 ball which was where the scholarships were coming from. The coach, the school and pretty much everything that came with Butler rubbed me the wrong way and I moved back to Chicago. I then was in Ecuador for the summer and met a lovely Irish lady there and moved to Dublin to be with her. I lived there for about 9 months and then came back to Chicago because she is finishing college and there are slightly more jobs in her field here then there are in Ireland so I came back to set everything up for the two of us here. She'll be here in a few weeks now. I sold out my soul to capitalism and I'm a salesman now. Don't worry, I still haven't missed a Pacers game since the 90s.

Oh, and I do remember you (you too its_asdf). You'll have to forgive me for only remembering the guys from back when I first joined initially.

I hope you downed a lot of Guinness in your time in Ireland (Y) congrats on getting engaged, it's good times indeed....

Okay, now onto the real question, who do the Pacers take at 13? There's 1,800 PG's in the draft, so they might be able to pick up a backup, even though they already have Ford & Jack in the fold, although given Ford's injury history & Jack's impending free agency (I think), drafting a PG might not be so bad....if not a PG, I could see them snagging a PF in the draft....one or the other....

Butler Bulldogs eh? They do dance regularly....ahh well....

I guess the last 8-9 months of my life have been so hectic and have involved a lot of circling the earth, career changes and several other large changes so it may seem longer to me.

Plenty of Guinness yeah. Waay more alcohol then any human really needs really. Developed myself a nice beer gut and had to try to start working it off when I got back to Chicago.

As for who the Pacers pick, I'm not intrigued by many of the prospects in this draft. I have zero interest in Blair or Henderson. I suppose if Jennings slips to us we should take him, but even if he does his boneheadedness will probably let him slip even further. Ty Lawson is probably the safe bet, but he'll probably never be that much better then TJ Ford is right now. An athletic PF is obviously our most glaring hole but Jordan Hill will be long gone and its slim pickins after that. Next years Pacers team will be all about the development of Rush and Hibbert with Granger maybe taking even more strides.

Hey man, congratulations on the engagement. How quickly things can change! I can't remember the last time I saw you post here (probably back in 2006 and I stopped posting between then and late last year).

Still the hardcore Pacers fan which is (Y) (Y) (Y). Hopefully they will sign Patty Mills and let him start. :)
