So I tried it out, and I'm a bit disappointed. It feels like Sims 2.5, as in the Sims 2 with tons of improvements, but not feeling like a new game. The build mode improved a lot, I'm happy they cut down the basic needs, and being able to go around the neighbourhood is pretty sweet, but I'm still annoyed it takes like 3 hours to take a piss or 30 minutes to go from one room to another, and that the Sims are retarded when it comes to not being able to go around another Sim in a narrow space.

Also, the graphic requirements are stupid. They didn't do a very good job of optimizing.

They could take a lot of pointers from Blizzard. EA's been shit for the past several years. They're like Microsoft. All about marketing and releasing shoddy products.

Ah, but what if she came out and said she hates the Celtics and their name is never to be uttered nor their games be watched? I mean, one has to have their principles. ;)

In that case she would have to go, same for if she talked bad about the sox or pats also. Funny thing is when I met my wife she was a yankee fan (her father being from NY) but I quickly showed her how wrong she was and brought her on board with the sox

Seems that the "grid" in that game still exists.

And I thought the graphic requirements won't be touched since some of the screenshots I saw, the only difference I noticed is the detail of the textures. Everything else looks the same.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really tempted to buy this game, reading a review from IGN, scored 8.9 out of 10.

The Sims 3 may not sway non-Sims fans from changing their minds about the series, but there’s more than enough here to please the many legions of fans already out there. This is simply a better playing Sims experience, and once you experience the freedom to hit the town without hitting a load screen you’ll be hard-pressed to go back to any of the earlier games. Blowing up the size of the game was certainly a risk, but it was a sensible and overdue one, and kudos to EA for recognizing that the decade-old formula needed some growth. And while there’s still plenty of room for more innovation, we’ll settle for The Sims 3 for now. It delivers a solid foundation for what should be many more years of Sims sales dominance.

It's still a huge time waster and a lot of fun. It owns the shit out of Sims 2 for me just because you can run around without loading times.

My first family was me and my two friends, my guy got 3 women pregnant (they find out without being at your place, so much fun) and ended up "stealing" my babies since we werent married so I couldnt get control of them. So it was a matter of befriending one at a time, getting them to move in and then kicking their ass out keeping the kid (with her last name :( ) One of the other guys I got promoted to the top of the policia career and at will now he can go to the criminal warehouse and raid it for $$$. The other one I gave a part time job to at the grocery store (part time jobs, awesome) and made him be a permanent maid/baby sitter.

You can literally run this game on full speed, leave for an hour, and not only will everyone not be dead, but they will have progressed a bit with their skills, careers, personal life, ect.

Although my co-worker is a hero. He made himself as a teenager (dumbass) so he had a working father and a tramp mom in the game. The mother he would go to random people's houses each night, get invited inside, and then just crash on one of their beds, eat their food, shower, shit, ect, and when she got kicked out he would just have her sleep on their outdoor furniture.

Being able to do that kind of stuff, and the unknowningness of what the kleptomaniac + pyromaniac + evil + insane + ambitious traits will do when mixed together is going to keep this game interesting for me and worth every cent of that free 50 dollar gift card.
Opinions are my own.
