Talk about NBA 2K9 here, as well as all previous games in the NBA 2K series.

So I bought the game at the store, installed it, and it seems obviously you gotta have steam on to play it.
Cause it basically brought up steam and installed the game. Problem is, I only see nba 2k9 in my steam folder now, so Im trying to figure out how to install rosters, shoe sets, and slider sets, and am totally unsure where to extract those things too.
Any help would be appreciated.

first what you can do is right click on it in steam and it gives you the option to add a desktop short cut. hope that helped

No sorry, I totally already understand that.
Let me maybe explain this better. I have vista, on my C drive, I also have a second harddrive with almost nothing on it. I installed the game to that, which opened up steam right away. So I dont have like a program files > nba 2k9.
It appears the game is installed into the steam folder, under steamapps.
I downloaded a roster, slider settings mod, and shoe mod. Im confused on where I install those things too or extract them too in order to use them in game.
Im not sure if I should have downloaded maybe the game into my c drive instead or if Im okay with where I did and someone knows how to install the mods.

the sliders and the settings are in the C:\ Users\ User\ AppData\ Roaming\ 2K Sports\ NBA 2K9\ Saves (this is vista u know...) and the shoe mod needs to be where u saved all the iff files and all this...( i have it in Documents\ nba 2k9)

the shoes, cfs, courts and other things related to graphics mod are placed the 2k9 directory. ex: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\nba 2k9. on the other hand, the rosters, settings and sliders are placed inside C:\Documents and Settings\Justin\Application Data\2K Sports\NBA 2K9\Saves. hope that helps you

just3n21 is basicly right but im not sure if vista is the same as Xp, if it is then here are directions, right click on your desktop icon and go down to properties and click it,after you do that click on find target, then it will open some folders, one of them will say steamapps click on it, on the next page click on a folder that says common, then the next folder should be a stand alone folder that says nba2k9 folder and thats where all your files are, if this does'nt help then i made a vid tutorial for this kid on how to install ken-flys 96bulls and i take you step by step how to get to this folder so if you need to here is the tutorial,

I finally found the file, but I already deleted my steam folder so currently installing the game again lol.
Do I just copy those files like the sliders and roster into that save folder, or do I need to take out the other roster file in there?
