The pirates have won another huge battle against the big games publishers, but computer gaming certainly lost some more of the faith these big publishers had in the classic systems: The Sims 3, the upcoming life simulation game that was expected to hit the store shelves on June 2 has been leaked on torrents today, two weeks before the game’s launch. This will certainly be a huge blow for EA!

We have no information yet if the Sims 3 torrent is for real or just a hoax, but from the comments read on various torrent websites, it appears that it really is the upcoming game from Maxis. The interesting part is that The Sims 3 torrent image weights only about 5GB, which might seem a little for some – but for the more casual audience The Sims 3 is aimed towards will certainly be OK.

However, the important thing is this: The Sims 3 has leaked on torrent websites way before the game’s launch, most likely harming the sales of the title quite a lot. Electronic Arts and Maxis must certainly be really pissed off right now. Pissed employees of EA?

EA recently released so many employees, so I don't see why not. Not only EA but other major gaming companies also laid off so many employees. Recession...

EA claimed the leak was incomplete, and it's still unknown whether the leak is a beta or not.

I'll wait it out some more until June 2nd, just for the chance to download Riverview (the 2nd neighborhood)

Honestly I'm looking forward for this game. What I'm wondering is how much will the game folder's disk size is when all the DLC / Expansion packs are released, what, 200GB?

I don't know if you can build your own neighborhoods yet, the game seems to have 2 neighborhoods. They might release a neighborhood creation tool or something in the future though.

The game seems fun, can't wait for June 2nd when it comes out here.

i really want this game (always have been a sims fan) but it seems EA is trying thier best to fuck us over too, so i dont feel bad they are getting pirated. have you guys seen the sims 3 store yet? the prices on there are insane for the DLC. 10 bucks for 1000 sim points with the most exspensive set(only 47 items total) going for 2000 sim points? read somewhere that if you took all the stuff from 1 stuff pack for the sims 2 and bought them all for sims 3 this way it would cost just under 100 bucks.

sad part is i will still get the game and probably still buy shit for it, i will just cancel my wow subscription first

Another news, another group released again their so called retailed version of the sims game and they are stating that it is now the final release with many bug fixes and the new neighborhood is now available..wew pirates are on the move now

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this game based on the numerous changes for the better, but I might not end my WoW subscription just yet either.

i think i will keep wow going until i go nearly a full month without playing it, then its off for a while. either way i am sure i will be back lol

It's always easy to get pirated programs/games for people who knows their ways. People who buy the games regularly will always be good buyers anyways, even for this game. I've noticed many girls are also into the Sims. I was never a fan of this so I personally do not understand how so many versions and expansions of this game were released and still goes on.

my wife was made at me cause of how i played sims 2. made a char who would talk to a girl til she would sleep with him. then i had him paint her in her underwear and hang the portrait up in his trophy room, i eventually had paintings on every part of the room so i had to expand to a second floor trophy room.

My rooms were usually full of portaits of half naked girls as well ..

Made me miss the house I was trying to make like a Bat cave. Of course, I failed miserably.

No wonder she was mad. How would you feel if she had a woman version of your char, who would sleep with any guys then does the exact same things your char does.

i would just uninstall her game then act like i had no clue what happened
