For Live 2004 will i need a hi tech graphics card in order to play

Depends on what you mean by a high-tech card. I have a two year old 32mb Geforce 2/MX 400 AGP on a 1.2Ghz Athlon with 512mb ram and the game runs very smoothly and quickly on my machine. In fact, it's better in the speed and performance than Live 2003 was on the same machine.

If your PC has an AGP slot, you can get a card similar to mine for around $30 shipped (look on pricewatch.com under Video Cards) or better ones for less than $50.

WHAT, 1 of my old machines almost same spec as urs and there no way that Geforce 2 mx400 32mb can play this game and high detail above 5 fps,
1. 32mb of shitty sdram (DDr my ass)
2. NO direct x 9 hardware support
3. 3D peak rate of 25m

If ur looking 2 upgrade ur machine make sure u go 4 Nvidia FX family, they are all Dx 9 hardware supported and u can get a card 2 fit ne budget, cards start @ $50 upto $500.
Stay away from Geforce 4 cheap bargains, unless its 4600 or above.
In my main machine i got p42.8,1024 3200, Titanium 4800 128 ddr II which is running at 600 mem and 350 core, and live still gets average framrate at max 35fps ish. There is also the ATI route.
