I'm a little confused and hope somebody would be able to help me out .
1) What does "stealing" attribute affect: is it more like intercepting the pass or getting the ball out of dribbler's hands (or does it depend of "hands" attribute) ?
2) Am i getting right, that "close shot" is a post shot (including hookshot and shots following a post move) and is mainly used by post players, but "layups" are more for guards ?
3) Do "shooting off the dribble" and "shooting in traffic" also affect post game ?
4) What is durability, the possibility of getting injured ?
5) What's "on ball defense", ability to stay with the dribbler ?
6) What does the "passing lanes" tendency affect ?

4) What is durability, the possibility of getting injured ?

The higher is the durability rating, the smaller is the possibilty that player will get injured.

5) What's "on ball defense", ability to stay with the dribbler ?

You can say that. A player with high on ball defense rating will be able to guard the ball handling player better.

6) What does the "passing lanes" tendency affect ?

It's the tendency for making attempts to intercept passes.

but i'm still a little puzzled with those close shot/layup/hookshot and stealing things .
