"Put Up or Shut Up"

Thu Dec 11, 2003 10:44 am

This is a little feature that they do on ESPN's NBA Halftime Report. The idea is that the panelists or interviewee have to make a prediction that they will be held to later in the year. Seems like fun. I'll go first (and probably end up looking foolish later)

I don't care how promising his start has been. It's a mirage. Vince Carter will suffer some phantom injury and Air Canada will crash and burn once again. (sorry doug)

New Jersey and San Antonio wont make it to the second round..

Thu Dec 11, 2003 10:59 am

My fearless prediction is that the Bulls can rally to make the playoffs as the 8th seed. My more cautious prediction is that they'll rally to exceed last year's total of 30 wins.

New Jersey Making it to the Finals and..........LOSE AGAIN

Tyronn Lue will be waived by the Magic, forced to wear a t-shirt that say "worst point guard ever." for the rest of his life, and will end up coaching a highschool girls team in Malaysia.

This will result in the Magic making the playoffs.

Thu Dec 11, 2003 10:49 pm

Nuggets will finish top 4 in the west :P

Cavaliers will win 30+ (wooo pray!)

Magic wont win 15+

Fri Dec 12, 2003 1:17 am

If nobody gets injured this time, the Sacramento Kings will win the NBA Championship.

Fri Dec 12, 2003 3:04 am

I thought this was about this season not about "ever"?

Seems this is obviously right under Ben as well.

Seems pretty inflammatory to me.

- Pistons loosing in the semi-finals...

- Kirilenko being in the all NBA 2'd team

Fri Dec 12, 2003 5:57 am

kirelenko is sick

raptors as 4th seed in the east

denver will drop to 6th

melo will win rookie of the year

Fri Dec 12, 2003 9:55 am

paul pierce will lead the celtics to another 50 win season.. and face the pistons and advance... you know it'll happen
pierce will be on fire and torch the pistons who play good def but only scores 70 points

in my opinion.. pistons r talented but they're too dangerous of not scoring enuf.. teams like magic/celtics/raptors r capable of beatin them cuz of just 1 guy sumtimes..

Orlando will end up with a better record than the Clippers. The Clippers will get the #1 overall pick, and will trade Elton Brand to Boston for Raef LaFrentz.

Fri Dec 12, 2003 10:34 am

but the pistons have billups and rip scoring almost 20 a game together they average about 39 a game

the team is averaging 90.6 which beats

Orlando, Washington, Chicago, New Jersey, Philly, Indiana, Portland, Houston, New York, Miami, Toronto

and Indiana Averages 89 and is winning a lot

Fri Dec 12, 2003 10:44 am
