Andrew okay, i got that but just have a LOT of doubts
Grino-mino man, you become a Great Heat fan this year, i hope your predictions will come true :) but, could you ever post some serious stuff, based on topic name???
zanshadow thanks for points:) !!! i'm always with my team, no matter what, but this time i have to be :seriouscat:
benji thanks for supporting!
Hova i agree with you on Dirk and Pau, and i think the casi is most part of people doesn't look deep into the importance of some players, which are playing on the (nearly) same level year by year (i'm baced on my exp., but it's my bad not to notice Pau and Dirk's improvements) so it causes this mistmatches. Like David Lee this year, he improved from 10 ppg -> 16ppg, and from 8 rpg -> 11rpg! but if you ask me about boston, i knew last season that this year they won't be as good as last year! KG isn't even should be mentioned in the 1-st or 2-d NBA team! if you look at my prediction, you will see my point :)

So I'm an avid Joel Anthony fan, does that make my opinion less serious than your man-crush on Wade?

It's suprising that superstar veterans like Duncan or Bryant do not get too much considered in those awards. Those guys should get a Career-MVP when they retire. I think they are ones of the few in the league that actually understand the game of basketball. Veterans should be more appreciated. Maybe it's because i dont like that media's love for the young guns.
And that recent love for Wade? Well, if he's so brilliant baller, where was this love when his team ended up on the bottom?

He was injured when his team was at the bottom? Why consider someone for the MVP award when he's not even playing?

Ever heard of the Hall of Fame? and Retiring Jerseys? Cause that's how they honor the careers of great players. The Regular Season MVP award is after all just for the season and not the player's career.

dyeggoo, have been living under a rock? Duncan & Bryant already won Season-MVP! and when the heat was at the bottom Wade was not playing so that's why he's loved now

Are we going to keep score and make it a competition like we usually do? Cos I think it'll be a 50-way tie.

Anyway:
(winners in bold, runners-up in italics)
MVP: LeBron James. Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul - James' burglary from the last two years will be avenged with his first, but not last MVP award. If Mo Williams didn't come to Cleveland, then this belongs to Wade.
ROY: Derrick Rose. Kevin Love, O.J. Mayo, Brook Lopez, Russell Westbrook, Marc Gasol - The best rookie class since 03, and it would be fitting if this award was shared between Rose and any or all of the other guys I mentioned. All of these guys are going to be terrific players, and all of them are potential All-Stars, along with Beasley. But i have to go with the guy who took on a bad Bulls team and led them to the playoffs.
DPOY: Dwight Howard. Tim Duncan, Shane Battier. Probably the award that's the closest to a lock out of all of them. Dwight is a complete monster.
MIP: Devin Harris. David Lee, Danny Granger, Kevin Durant. Tough one. My heart says David Lee, given that he's one of my favourite players outside of the Windy City, but I have to give this to Harris.
6th Man: Jason Terry. Lamar Odom. Also close to a lock. Have to give it to the 20 point scorer.
Coach: Erik Spoelstra. Mike Brown, George Karl. The rookie coach had a lot on his shoulders going into the season. Bringing back Wade, incorporating 2 rookies into pivotal roles on the team. But he came through with flying colours. Brown makes the list by default because of team record, but Karl would be unlucky not to win this.
GM: Danny Ferry (Cleveland). Mark Warkentien (Denver). Both of these guys make the list for making terrific deals to bring in all-star point guards. Ferry gets the nod, because it was a riskier move at the time that it was made. Warkentien's deal had to be done.

Team Awards:
All-NBA First Team: Chris Paul (G), Dwyane Wade (G), LeBron James (F), Dirk Nowitzki (F), Dwight Howard (C)
All-NBA Second Team: Kobe Bryant (G), Chauncey Billups (G), Paul Pierce (F), Tim Duncan (F), Yao Ming (C)
All-NBA Third Team: Brandon Roy (G), Mo Williams (G), Rashard Lewis (F), Pau Gasol (F), Nene (C)

All-Defence First Team: Chris Paul (G), Rajon Rondo (G), Shane Battier (F), Tim Duncan (F), Dwight Howard (C)
Second Team: Kobe Bryant (G), Dwyane Wade (G), LeBron James (F), Gerald Wallace (F), Yao Ming (C)

All-Rookie First Team: Derrick Rose, O.J. Mayo, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, Brook Lopez
All-Rookie Second Team: Eric Gordon, Marc Gasol, Mario Chalmers, Michael Beasley, Jason Thompson.
(I want to make mention of the guys missing out on the All-Rookie Teams, because any other year, a lot of these guys would be making the second or maybe even first teams - D.J. Augustin, Rudy Fernandez, Luc Mbah-a-Moute, Brandon Rush, Nicolas Batum, Courtney Lee. They should introduce a temporary All-Rookie Third Team, just for this year)

I just realised I left OJ Mayo off the All-Rookie teams.. I'll pick him to make the first team, Rudy Fernandez to drop back to the second team and Mario Chalmers to get the snub.
