Here's an optional mod that might not appeal to everyone, but for Sonics fans and anyone else who'd like to send the Oklahoma City Thunder back to Seattle and restore the Supersonics, you can now do so in a few easy steps with Back to Seattle 08.

Back to Seattle 08 removes the files added by the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 08 via a batch file and also contains another batch file that will make the necessary changes to the DBFs. It doesn't affect your current rosters or lineups so you can safely apply it to a Dynasty in progress. Although there shouldn't be any problems in doing that, I highly recommend making a backup of your Dynasty first just in case; it's a good idea whenever you want to tinker with your Dynasty save, no matter how small a modification you're making. If for some reason you can't get the batch files to work, the readme file contains step by step instructions to manually restore the Supersonics.

Please note that reinstalling the latest NLSC update and any future versions will of course restore the Oklahoma City Thunder, but you can simply run the batch files again to bring back the Sonics.

I assume so, it depends which files they've included for the Thunder though. The batch file will only delete the files that the NLSC roster adds so if TUP adds any extra ones, they'll need to be removed manually.

& that's what We called the Seattle Comeback

Cause all in all...Lakers is the most L.A team that has been favorite of all people from the start....

But that of Clippers has the history also of this team...

& I love to see Camby, Z-Bo, Diddy wearing those white, green & yellow jerseys....

and keep the okc thunder?
cause we all know that next year seattle will start a new franchise. they kept the logos, colors and jerseys.
still got the key arena so you know there will be a team owner with a new franchise on the rise..
so i think you should make a patch andrew for the sonics right with out takeing out okc thunder.
is this possible andrew and we add free agents to the team for now and make sam mitchell the coach...

i didnt say they are but if you think about it
okc didnt take logos, name, colors.
that stayed in seattle.
okc has new name colors logos jerseys.
so common sence will tell you that maybe not in 2010, but in the future
seattle suprsonics will be rebirthed and probly win the championship
that same season they debut...
i might have a good imaginenation but think about it bro.....

Possible, yes. Convenient, no. That's why I've released this instead of doing a completely different version of the rosters. There is nothing concrete about the Sonics returning anytime soon (and it certainly wouldn't be as soon as next season, things usually have to be set in motion at least two or three years in advance), unfortunate but true. So I won't be doing that; sorry.

also so i wanted to point out. thats since i been useing your rosters my game dont crash.
it was albys roster patch that was crashing my games no matter what team..
i read some were, you said to some one that those aiact patchces usally crash games
but i think it was albys patch cause im having a smooth great ole time using yours........

Thanks, glad to hear they're working for you.

Basically, you'll need to make sure the Thunder are using a different team abbreviation and have a full compliment of art that uses that custom abbreviation. Then you'd have to restore the Seattle Supersonics art and make sure it uses the original team abbreviation. Finally, you'd have to create a custom team; see the various guides for specifics on that.

As I said, definitely possible but not really convenient for me to undertake at this time.

No worries. Nothing major in the grand scheme of things but I noticed I hadn't done that when I made the update for 2005 so I went back and updated the versions for 06-08.
