I don't envy that. My Saturdays are usually open but if the work is there I'm not inclined to knock back the money at this point.

Man what a double header on Thursday on TNT (Ten HD). I took me until now to watch both matches (from recordings) but damn they were good matches :o

Anyway some good news i've been looking for:
http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2009/03/one ... ss-up.html

Foxtel cable viewers who have the IQ2 and currently receive TEN HD will be able to access ONE HD.

Yay so i'll be able to record all the One HD shit. I dont want to have to watch One HD on our SD TV, in which i'd have to watch things when they're actually on

Oh and Andrew if you have Channel 10 SD2 you should check if your getting the basketball yet...

I don't think we are getting it yet but I'll certainly look out for it this week all the same.

See, that's just rubbing it in. :(

Not long until ONE SD comes in though, which will suit me fine until such time as I have enough to buy a HD TV...so probably not for a while yet as there are more important things I need to put money towards at this time.

Andrew have you got a Digital set top box. because I saw an ad for ONE and said you will need a set top box to watch ONE SD. it won't be available for normal free to air.

Yes I do, but I've looked into it and we're not even actually getting the proper Ten Digital here in Newcastle, just a rebroadcast of the analog channel/programming through the set top box. The TV Guide that comes in the local paper shows the NBA games listed as the alternative programming on Ten Digital but we aren't actually getting it. It's only Channel Ten too, it seems some areas of the country (Newcastle being one of them) are behind schedule.

Most people are at this point. It doesn't surprise me greatly; we were supposed to have fibre optic throughout the Hunter by 2000.

Assuming of course, One is available in their area and they don't have Foxtel for any other reason. ;) That rules me out for the moment.

Upcoming games on ESPN Australia:

Today: Bucks/Magic
April 2nd: Rockets/Suns
April 4th: Cavs/Magic
April 4th: Rockets/Lakers
April 9th: Jazz/Mavericks

If you got the money to burn, can't fault Foxtel, as provides more options & more games....if the money is more of a factor & you just have it for the bi-weekly dose of American sports, then One HD does the job (Y)

Ugh man, what a painful tease. Surely Southern Cross ten will get their act together soon. I remember hearing we should have something by the beginning of April, for the playoffs atleast..

Ahh i was looking far and wide through my Foxtel Planner, but i couldn't find the bolded games. In most cases there was NCAA instead...

I'll kill someone if the Nuggets v Jazz game doesn't air... Can anyone else find the other games? Or the Rockets v Lakers for that matter as most of you wouldnt have One HD on your Foxtel...

You and me both. I'm not planning on giving up on Foxtel anytime soon but I will greedily take the additional games on One as well. ;)

Was Lakers Hawks shown in the end? Because when I got to work at about 9am... it was Tar Heels on tv. I'm not complaining though! And they did show Spurs Hornets later in the morning. :)

Damnit, why does it have to be Dallas v Houston on Thursday the 16th April and not Denver vs Portland... Best season in the history of Nuggets basketball and they've been on ESPN once and One HD once... Fuck!

It's why they need to be able to change the schedule on the fly, and not just rely on the records of seasons past. We'll probably see some of them in the playoffs.

They have done that in the past when ESPN has dropped some games and picked up others. I guess it hasn't happened as much this year.

But hey, be thankful you've got One as well. I still don't have that luxury as yet. :(

Southern Cross Ten has been running ads promoting One HD as coming soon. Apparently we can also call (02) 6242 2400 for more information.
