How to change favorite team?And a few more questions.

Hi,I am a guy who has played NBA series since NBA Live 96, and I found NBA live 2004 is the one with most change on gameplay. I noticed the gameplay becomes so slow,and offense becomes so chenllenging now.
I have some question,plz give me a hand?
1 How do I change my favorite team?I am so sick of watching Hawks players moving around sicne I choose Hawks ( first team I saw, LOL) by accident when I played the game first time.
2 How do I offense more efficently?When a player got a ball, it's almost imposible for him to dive into the paint.How do i do that?
3 How do I improvement shooting percentage?I usually miss the shot even when I am wide open.And I have tried to release the ball at the best timing.
4 There has been a patch for the bright court.Anybody got solution to the over-bright white shirts?
