It will not have a user authentication script.
It will only be compatable for 1 season ( after that you have to empty database to have new season)
Can only run 1 league.

It will still have some great features but wont have alot of what the full version offers.

Sat Dec 06, 2003 2:51 am

what will it have then?

Sat Dec 06, 2003 8:05 am

it will be a working version. Again the full version is the better one but not free of charge.

Also there is no Tech suppot for the public Version.

Sat Dec 06, 2003 8:53 am

so basically we'll only be able to enter our name? :?

wats the point of having a version that doesn't allow u to see the league leaders or boxscores..

Sat Dec 06, 2003 9:00 am

you will be able to get stats, and what not. Also standings are still there.

You want the full version BUY IT. If not then dont complain.

Sat Dec 06, 2003 10:50 am

why does anyone want to buy it? if you want to make profits, post somewhere else, people here share non-profit goods.

Sat Dec 06, 2003 2:08 pm

Hey Mchao Them patches you guys make are easy to do. This actually took MONTHS to make. Not a day or two. Did you do the work ? ? NOOOOOOOOOOOO so keep your comments to yourself. ALso im not making a profit at all. AT ALLLLLLL. The time i spent making this, makes up for whatever i sell it for. (one more thing im only selling it for 10$).

Sat Dec 06, 2003 2:35 pm

how much did it cost you to make it?

if it cost you nothing , but u charge 10dollars, then thats a 10dollar profit..

but yeh. whatever...
best of luck :) Go get them tiger

Sat Dec 06, 2003 4:15 pm

it cost my time to make it.

Sat Dec 06, 2003 4:18 pm

well then ask us to send you some time back.

Seriously, many people here are younger (like me) and can't pay for things like this over the internet and whatnot due to lack of a credit card. I think you're going to have no luck trying to sell a league manager for $10.

Sat Dec 06, 2003 5:26 pm

then so be it oh well. There will be leagues that need it here and there. Im not really worried.

Also when I released the first version (FOR FREE) I got over 20 emails as for help, I dont have the time to help that many people for FREE. It would take days to help all of them.

Again the release date for the public Version is Tuesday.

I will vouch for Mark here and say that creating an NBA Live online league manager is a very time consuming project. Not to mention supporting it. For someone who wants to run a legit NBA Live league without any web experience, what Mark's offering is a pretty good deal. After all, he isn't charging you for the software. It's the support you are paying for.

as colin said, younger kids can't afford it, so it doesnt seem that possible.

Sun Dec 07, 2003 4:33 am

How about this. ill release the full version but i wont give tech support because i cant afford to spend time helping people with it for free.

Mon Dec 08, 2003 2:46 am

How about, maybe people like Don Dailey, Brien (EAGRAPH), and me (not as big of programs but still kind of big) all release our programs for TOTALLY free, and answer all questions that come our way (well I know that I answer all questions.) I know my JI for 03 has over 4000 downloads, i coulda charged like 1 dollar for each and made a good $4000, and I use visual studio compiler which costs money too, but I don't charge. Nor complain about it, just ask anyone around here. So don't get mad when people complain about it not being free.

Listen Mark, it's up to you. But if you choose to charge people for using it, i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be that big a success...

But still, it's totally up to you to decide!

You dont understand what im saying nor do you understand php.

The tech supoprt for this would not be to answer a question or 2. It would be to spend acouple hrs with each person needing help and i cant afford to do that.

Just to give you an idea of what im dealing with here. Theres over 6000 lines of code (php) in this program. Its not simple nor was it easy to make.

I think that sounds good...free product, maybe one free tech support question and further tech support the $10 deal.
