Will this videocard work for this game?

Postby Full Surface on Fri Dec 05, 2003 10:13 am

I'm still having trouble trying to run this game. It appears that my current videocard isn't supported. So this is the best one I found that's in my price range.

If indeed your problem is with the video card, that one will fix it. It's a good card, well supported with pretty good drivers.

For about the same money, you might want to consider something like the GeForce4 MX 440 4x AGP 128MB (if you have 4X AGP, that is). It runs about $54 (just $8 more than the ATI). It's not as powerful as a full-on Geforce 4, but it has many of the features of it's "big brother" cards. It performs very well with NBA Live 2004 in my Athlon 1.2ghz with 512mb ram. The player motion and animations are very smooth and not choppy at all.

Try www.pricewatch.com for the best prices, including shipping, from literally scores of online retailers. The items are all listed with the best available price. You'll be amazed at the difference in price between the online retailers and your local compustore.

Yes it will.
Just a reminder that it's not a dx9 card feature-wise but has dx9 compatible drivers though. Confusing enough?

I can't get any other cards because I only have a PCI slot (old computer).

I have another question also. I'm planning to upgrade my RAM sooner or later to 128MB so I'm not sure if this card will work with 64MB RAM. Can anyone confirm that?

Of course it will.
The amount of RAM in your computer has no effect on whether or not a graphics card is compatible or not.
