gasol for either carmelo and lebron happened to me many times.
I even tried getting lebron by trading my gasol but the cavs denied it.

It would be better unless I didn't use my own roster where LBJ's overall is 99 and Sheed's 80. And chemistry is counting as well.

To avoid crazy trades on these superstar players, try editing their TRADEABLE value to 1, since 0 allows them to be traded. http://nbalive08.nba-live.com/index.php?go=dbf-players (cntrl-f Tradeable)
Only do this to players like LeBron, Kobe, or whoever...
Never tried this myself though.
