Dwyane Wade scores 50 in a loss

So Dwyane Wade scores 50 pints but in a loss though he also had 5 rebounds/ assists . Man if he keeps having games like this and losing thats just making it even more possible for him to leave in 2010 . Man Jermaine O'Neal only had I think 6 points! Wade needs a supporting cast... Actually I wouldn't be surprized if he gets traded next year because they think that he is gonna leave .

They were playing the Magic in Orlando though, who are still a pretty strong team even with Nelson out. Orlando also shot close to 55% from the field and were 17/32 from downtown, tough to beat a team that's shooting the lights out like that. Wade was the only one shooting the ball particularly well for the Heat and I think Beasley is being used too inconsistently off the bench. The Heat are still currently on the right side of .500 and should have some roster flexibility in 2010 along with the prospect of Beasley fulfilling his potential, I guess Wade leaving has to be a concern but I wouldn't say it's imminent just yet.

Wade's going nowhere but Miami. We will bring in solid players this coming off season. Wade's won a championship with Miami recently, so I don't think he's that hungry for another one just yet. As for Beasley, I think he's about 3-4 years away from becoming a star quality player. If he can shorten that time, he will be a great teammate for Wade pretty soon.

I disagree there, with so many years ahead of him I doubt Wade isn't driven to win more championships but it's likely he's got enough faith and patience in the Heat's front office to give them a chance to properly rebuild around him, which I'm guessing is what you were alluding to anyway.

i folow heat every day in news, so Andrew, miami took O'Neal ONLY to have 23 mln additional cap space in 2010 off season, Wade said that he could resign this off-season for a max-contract, to easy Riley's moves in 2010! and he won't go nowhere! he waits for Bron/Bosh/Amare to come here, and there are many reasons we would land another SuperStar:
1. We would have a biggest cap space in 2010 off season - > we could offer much more that every other team in NBA (we would have only about $15mln under the contract, if Wade wouldn't resign this season!)
2. Everyone wants to play in Miami
3. If LBJ doesn't resign with Cavs - he will have to pay a tax for his money at every other state he goes, except Ohio and Florida
4. Miami would have Dwyane Wade (super star, olimpic and NBA champion), president and mentor Pat Riley, a lot of young talent: B-Easy, Rio, Cook

Wade told Riley a number of times (included this season) that he wants to retire here. Riley is a very clever man, everybody knows, and he knows how to treat a tru superstar!

I never said Wade was likely to leave, in fact from my first post in the thread I argued that losses like the one to the Magic likely aren't a precursor to his departure. I've also said before that I like the O'Neal trade for the cap flexibility it will provide at the right time and the possibility that he'll be a serviceable option at a cheaper price. I don't know about the Heat being frontrunners to pick up some of the other stars though (at least any more than their current teams being able to re-sign them) and everyone wanting to play in Miami though, I'm not sure you're taking the most objective view there.

LeBron/Bosh and Wade/Bosh certainly strike me as better combinations than LeBron/Wade, since both have the ball in their hands a lot allowing them to create for themselves and others.

James and Wade wants to win titles, they developed a good assistant skills and both are team players so it would be easier to win titles with that duo, neither than lebron-bosh or wade - bosh! remember Melo and AI!

I'm sorry, but there's no way you can state that as a fact, because the top free agents don't annually end up in Miami. I'm not say they don't have the selling points but they don't get all the top players and I can't remember anyone aside from Wade expressing a strong desire to sign with Miami in 2010. I don't think you can objectively say that everyone wants to play in Miami.

They're also players who both like to handle the ball a lot and as I said, create for themselves and their teammates. They can't both handle the ball at the same time and that's what they need to do to be most effective. That's not a knock on either of them, that's how they play and while they certainly worked together on Team USA, the NBA game does not follow the same philosophy. I certainly do remember Melo and AI and frankly they're a terrible example to make your point with, as they were together for a season and a half and accomplished nothing, certainly a long way from being a successful formula. You can have two dominant scorers but history has shown it works better when they compliment each other eg an inside-outside duo like Shaq and Kobe were earlier this decade.

yeah, you right, shaq - kobe, shaq - wade were amazing! maybe melo and ai is't perfect example, but they're not wade and LBJ! so, okay, let's stop this discussion. anyways i hardly believe that LeBron would leave cleveland when the team is fighting for 1-2 spot at east! so we would see Bosh, Amare or someone else coming to help D-Wade in 2010!

in fact i don't like Amare, he was made by D'Antony and Nash, in Heat there will be other amare, just like Marion! and he is injury prone! i would love to see us getting Bosh!

To be fair he's not really that injury prone, he missed most of the 2006 season after surgery and hadn't missed too many games at all after bouncing back in the 2007 season; his latest injury was really just bad luck, something that could've happened to anyone unfortunate enough to get hit in the eye in the manner he did. His dedication to defense is questionable though and that alone might not place him atop Riley's wishlist in 2010, though he's too talented not to garner any interest at all from the Heat and several other teams come that summer.

I don't know if "content" is really the right word here, I think it's more a case of having more patience seeing as though he's already won a championship and things are looking up for the Heat. I doubt he's too content to go through losing seasons or unaffected by it but I'd agree that he has patience and confidence in the team to be more competitive in the future. As it stands they're doing alright this year anyway.

Agreed, I can see where Spoelstra is coming from bringing him off the bench but it reminds me a lot of what Scott Skiles used to do with the Bulls. There's a method to the madness but sometime it's cutting your nose off to spite your face.
