How to change teams' playbooks for good?

Postby Nittany1993 on Sun Nov 30, 2003 1:59 pm

I read the posts that list the diff team playbooks. I want to change each offensive set, but don't know how.

I am in dynasty and I figured out how to change them during a game...but it does not stay that way.

How do you change the team playbooks/sets so it stays that way?

Thanks and sorry if this has been asked before.

You have to edit the teams.dbf.

If you are asking what program edits .dbf files like teams.dbf, DB Commander 2000 PRO works well. http://www.dbcommander.com/

Will your future rosters include this change? it seems that changing this makes a difference in the gameplay?

Damn, i just made a post on how to do this. like yesterday, or the day before yesterday.
If you would of just searched ( looked down a few post ) you would of seen it.
I can more understand bout peeps complaining to use the search for post that are dug in the forums and know that can take time, but at least dont be that stubborn to not check the first page!

I even made a video tutorial and hosting it on my webspace for awhile.

BTW, from what i seen of it, it looks like its for good, so far.

Yes, I already edited them up after seeing the thread over on OS. I'm tweaking primacy and fatigue as I post this to make it even better.

I had the cpu play cpu twice yesterday, Sixers @ Lakers, Bucks @ Timberwolves...88-85 Lakers, Iverson had 30, was go-to-guy...Kobe had 22, Shaq with 20, Payton with 16...they were 1, 2, 3 in shots...Bucks beat the Wolves 97-77 because Spree was held to just one made field goal, and Kandi went 0-for-7...KG had 28, Cassell had 24, they were one and two in shots...Redd dropped 30, Thomas put in 22, they were one and two in shots...

Ben, did you notice any improvements in short and long range shot selection? I began some work on making this change and saw some improvements but have been lacking time as of late to do the research. Keep us updated on your progress. THe game should really improve with these assignments!!

Yeah, it's not perfect, but it is better. I'm going to also tweak the defensive awareness because everyone is bunched into the same range it seems like and I'm not seeing much difference between say Ron Artest and Keith Van Horn.
