That'll make staying in the top eight difficult for the Bucks but more importantly that's a huge blow for Redd; you never want to see players suffer a serious injury and the NBA is more exciting when the best of the best are competing.

I think the Bucks should wait before pulling the trigger on any moves, see how the team can compensate and whether anyone can step up in Redd's absence and keep them competitive. They've still got a bit under a month left before the trade deadline to gauge interest in their players and see how well they can play without Redd and if the right deal is there then sure, make a move.

I read that the Bucks were shopping Redd, but there goes any shot at a trade.

damn...poor Redd, its a mental killer when you get injured so bad. Hopefully when he returns he'll be the same old Redd. Tough luck for the Bucks, I think they shouldn't risk for a play-off spot, but to go for a lottery pick, this year there are many talented players, anyways, bad news...

It's way too early to pull the plug on the season, they're in the eighth spot and they have a chance to try and stay competitive. You don't want a complacent roster that's comfortable with a losing atmosphere. If they compete, they have a chance to make the Playoffs, gain some experience against a tough opponent and go into next year with a decent draft pick, a playoff tested team and Redd returning. If not, they still have a shot to win the lottery and as the last couple of lotteries have demonstrated, the teams with the best odds don't always get the top picks.

What A BLOW. I don't think the Bucks can make it to the playoffs without Redd. Well, this means a better chance for teams like NJN, CHA, and NYK. With a few teams like those starting to play well, there won't be much chance for the bucks without their best player. Good luck though.

They were making a nice push, Villanueva and Ridnour were getting back to their level, and the addition of Jefferson really boosted them. What a shame for the Bucks.

I dunno where I read this but Redd is not as effective as everybody thinks. Maybe benji wants to prove that with numbers ;)

Still a tough loss, but I dont see that many good teams in the East,l so they still have a shot.

Redd certainly isn't as valuable as other more versatile players who do more to help their team win, but he's still a remarkable offensive threat that gets you 20-25 points every night, and can score during clutch time. That has to hurt when you lose such a player.

Exactly. He's their top scorer and his absence forces them to make up 21 ppg, which means the rest of the team has to shoulder more of the scoring load and/or hold their opponents to fewer points per game, really pinning them down so they have an easier time putting up enough points to win. Right now they're averaging 103 ppg in victories (about 5 ppg higher than their overall average), which is likely going to be more difficult to accomplish without Redd's firepower.

Great. Now it's Bogut. Kiss the playoffs goodbye. At least they got higher lottery pick to look forward to.

Bogut's injury doesn't sound good at all. Hopefully there are no longterm health concerns, both on and off the court.
