Sorry, but I have a lot. Most of them are silly ones though. I get a kick out of sports people saying stupid things.

When Jason Kidd was with the Suns and they were on a losing streak, he said this in an interview:
"I'm going to turn this team around 360degrees."

Charles Barkley during the finals against Jordan and the Bulls:
"I think the team that wins Game 5 will win the series. Unless we lose Game 5."

"Strangely, in slow motion replay, the ball seemed to hang in the air for even longer."
- David Acfield

"Chemistry is a class you take in high school or college, where you figure out two plus two is 10, or something."
- Dennis Rodman, on Chicago Bull's team chemistry being overrated

During a season in which the New York Jets (of the NFL) started 0-7, the head coach (the name escapes me) said to the players in the locker room after their seventh consecutive loss:
"If it weren't for that seven game losing streak, we would be undefeated right now."
The team went on to win the next six games.

"The way to stop Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is to get real close to him and breathe on his goggles."
-John Kerr

Various quotes on Michael Jordan-
After Michael Jordan had scored a play-off record 69 points - "I'll always remember this as the night Michael and I combined to score 70 points."
-Stacey King
"In my prime I could have handled Michael Jordan. Of course, he would be only 12 years old."
-Jerry Sloan
"Byron Russell is a Human Highlight Film."
-Slam magazine

I think that's enough for now.

Magic Johnson is the best player who plays on the ground, and Michael Jordan is the best player who plays in the air.

John Paxson

On the seemingly one-sided relationship between Michael Jordan and his shoe sponsors Nike- The company should change its name to Mike.

Alvin Robertson

There are some remarkable parallels between basketball and politics. Michael Jordan has already mastered the skill most needed for political success: how to stay aloft without visible means of support.

Margaret Thatcher (1992)

You don't hesitate with Michael, or you'll end up on some poster in a gift shop someplace.
Fatten Spencer

On females officiating in the NBA -Incompetence should not be confined to one sex.

Bill Russell (1976)

I wouldn't. I would just go home. I'd fake an injury or something. (When asked how he would defend against himself)

Shaquille O'Neal

I never thought I'd lead the NBA in rebounding, but I got a lot of help from my team-mates - they did a lot of missing.

Moses Malone

On the best tactic when playing alongside Kareem Abdul-Jabbar- Just give him the ball.

Earvin 'Magic' Johnson

We told Stanley Roberts to go on a water diet, and Lake Superior disappeared.

Pat Williams

When Xavier McDaniel plays against Orlando Wooldridge, it's a coach's dream - X vs O

Mychal Thompson

I call Los Angeles the city of alternatives. If you don't like mountains, we got the ocean. If you don't like Knott's Berry Farm, we've got Disneyland. If you don't like basketball, we've got the Clippers. :x Ouch for Clippers :x

Arsenic Hall

The LA Lakers are so good they could run a fast break with a medicine ball.

Rich Donnelly

The Orlando Magic were so bad last season, the cheerleaders stayed home and phoned in their cheers. ( That's prolly what's happening this season  )

Pat Williams

This is the second most exciting indoor sport, and the other one shouldn't have spectators.

Dick Vertleib

On his homesickness during the Barcelona Olympics -I miss America. I miss crime and murder. I miss Philadelphia. There hasn't been a brutal stabbing or anything here the last 24 hours. I've missed it.

Charles Barkley (1992)

That's enough eh? For now :P

This was one of those quotes of the week at NBA.com

During Kobe's amazing 40-points-a-game streak last year, Bonzi Wells after the game:
"Everyone had their hands in his face. Even my momma had a hand in his face, but he still scored."

Actually, I think that one is from when he was with the Mavericks.

Walton has the best ones. Just a few...

Pacers on 11-0 run extending their lead to 18 over the Knicks: "The Pacers are just falling apart."

And the best of all...
About the Lakers: "They are playing at a much level of greater intensity here."

Most football teams are temperamental. That's 90% temper and 10% mental.
Doug Plank

I'm in favour of drug tests, just so long as they are multiple choice.
Kurt Rambis

The game is too long, the season is too long and the players are too long.
Jack Dolph

The trouble with officials is they just don't care who wins.
Tommy Canterbury

I believe in higher education. You know, 6'8", 6'9", 6'10"
