Portraits

I just got Nba Live 08(I know Im a bit late, but i just got back into the nba). I downloaded the NLSC roster, but a lot of players dont have portraits(I guess all rookies). Is this because they just weren't added or did I do something wrong. Also, thanks for making these rosters that make a year old game still very playable.

There are players that still don't have portraits in the rosters because I currently don't have a portrait patch available for them, but the patch should definitely add portraits. If players like Derrick Rose are missing portraits than the art definitely didn't install properly and you should check out Faces Troubleshooting.txt for directions on how to remedy that. However, please note that some players including some players who caught on in training camp (like Rob Kurz) don't have portrait files at this time.

If in doubt, let me know which players are missing portraits in your game and I'll let you know if it's an issue with the art being installed to the wrong place or whether that player simply doesn't have a portrait yet.

Yeah, I just checked. Rose and by the looks of it no rookies have portraits. I looked for Mijorda.fsh and found it in the sgm folder in the game folder. Not really sure what im supposed to do anyhow, I'm kind of a retard with modding any game.

That's strange, it sounds like it's installed to the right place but if they're not showing up then they can't be. Can you please double check the full path of the folder you installed NBA Live 08 to (eg C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 08) and then the full path to the folder where the art was installed? Just trying to figure out what might have happened.

I just looked and noticed that a folder named Program Files (x86) was created in the NBA Live folder with a folder named sgsm that contains the .fsh i mentioned earlier. Should I copy all the files in it into the other sgsm folder, or just the one file?

That's strange. Yes, you should definitely copy all the files into the other sgsm folder.

I just did it and everything showed up. Thanks a lot.
One last question that is a little unrelated. I tried to start a franchise/dynasty(forget what its called) with your roster and every time I try, it uses the default roster that came with the game. Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure you select "No" for the 2007 Draft option, otherwise the game will revert to the default rosters. Glad to hear you got the portrait issue sorted out.
