Sit's Rockets ::: AlTerNAte UniVErse :::

Thu May 05, 2005 7:12 pm

This is my new dynasty which is mainly a simmed dynasty. I'm not good with graphics but I will try my best to keep it interesting!

This is the alternate universe dynasty where a twist in events happened differently according to me... actually, only 1 twist!

During the Summer of 04, instead of Shaquille O'neal going to Miami, he stayed in Los Angeles. Kobe Bryant: was traded to the Magic in exchange for Tracy Mcgrady and signed a new contract. Steve Francis was then dealt along with Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato for Kobe Bryant.

The rosters stand like this:

Lakers have Shaq, T-mac and GP hung around LA
Rockets have Kobe Bryant and Yao Ming
Orlando have the same roster as this season except they still have Juwan Howard

Later during the NBA draft, Chicago made a deal with Charlotte and took Charlotte's second overall draft pick. They traded twin towers Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler in exchange for the rookie who turned out to be Emeka Okafor. Chicago also drafted Ben Gordon.

The other two teams look like this:

Charlotte has now got Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler
Chicago has Huskies teammates Ben Gordon and Emeka Okafor

My dynasty will mainly focus on the Rockets but will also look at the Lakers, Bobcats and the Bulls.

Let's see how they go!

You just HAVE to have Kobe on your teams, don't you?

Thu May 05, 2005 8:54 pm

Yep! Damn straight! Im a fan man! lol

but in this alternate universe, if hes doing shit, hes leaving... plus Kobe didnt get his maxed out contract... he got a smaller one worth only 5 years at 15 million per year.... only about 75 000 000 bucks....

HOUSTON ROCKETS PREPARE FOR NEW AGE

Image
ABOVE: Kobe Bryant (8) and Tracy Mcgrady (1) move to different teams as they undergo new futures

Kobe Bryant is in Houston. Tracy Mcgrady is in Los Angeles. Steve Francis moved to Orlando. Three of the NBA's biggest stars switched teams last Summer and as the NBA season draws nearer, the players ar eonly just getting to know their new teams.

After many years of turmoil in LA which peaked last year with an impeding rape trial and being a cancer to the Lakers' failed championship hopes last year, Kobe Bryant has finally moved away from Hollywood and all of its dramas.

"This is a change that Shaquille (O'neal) and I have caused," Bryant said, "I don't like him and I intend never to speak to him again!"

Shaquille O'neal, the 7'1" center of the Los Angeles Lakers had always wanted Kobe Bryant shipped away from Los Angeles and finally his wish has come. "This is the best thing that has happened to me!" O'neal stated, "No more hogs here!"

Tracy Mcgrady who was growing more uneasy with Orlando's situation bailed out too, to join Shaquille in Los Angeles. Originally rumoured to have been traded to Houston, the Lakers front office snapped him up immediately by sending Kobe Bryant over.

"I was lucky, me and Shaq are real tight. Can't wait to play this year!"

Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato were then traded to Orlando in exchange for Bryant. Francis and Cat who were blamed for Yao Ming's limited touches of the ball were happy with the move.

"This is good," Steve said, "Houston seemed to really hate us!"

As a NBA analyst said, "This is best for all the parties involved. At the end of the day, everyone is happy!"

- The Charlotte Bobcats will enter their first ever NBA season with two huge projects in Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler. Atthletic powerhouse Gerald Wallace should also be a contributor for the young squad who will be led by veteran Brevin Knight at the point.

Prediction: 15-67

Image

- The team to watch once again. This year, the Bulls feature the one-two punch of Meka and Gordon. The two former Huskies have tasted success before with Connecticut and maybe the stiffling defence of Okafor and scoring action from Ben Gordon will get the Bulls back into the playoffs!

Prediction: 38-44

- The Lakers are the favourites to win it all this year. After last year's upset to the Pistons, the Lakers made a strong move to bring in T-mac to fill up for Kobe Bryant. Former Laker Tyronn Lue returns to the team and Vlade Divac has returned to back up Shaq at center. Rumours have it that Karl Malone will be returning to play for the team soon.

Prediction: 60-22
