BREAKING: Terry, Green traded to Nets, Celtics get Wallace in return![]()
This trade was a shocker! This wasn't even rumored to happen, but because a lot of people think that Terry wasn't a really nice fit in Boston and Green not producing well like Terry, the Celtics have decided to trade them to the Nets which includes a 2012 2nd round pick for Gerald Wallace. Terry wasn't really affected by the trade as he's only played 2 games with the team and he'd get to play with two other stars again and still can compete for a championship. But Green, on the other hand, was not happy of the trade, and in fact, he was actually mad at the team for trading him. The former-Net F/G Wallace was also surprised by the trade, but is ready to be a part of a new organization. The Celtics have gotten a solid scoring option and rebounder in Wallace, but they lost two main scoring options off the bench from Green and Terry. The winner of this trade: the Nets.

2012 2nd Round Pick
The Nets have acquired a solid sixth-man, along with Marshon Brooks in Terry, although Terry is already aged 34, he still can produce at least 15 points a night and tehy have acquired a nice, versatile forward in Green. A pretty good starter in him and produce solid numbers too, especially with D-Will by his side and dish out the ball to him with him cutting.

Celtics get: Gerald Wallace
The trade wasn't really that bad for both teams, but the loser here was the Celtics. They lost a 2nd Round Pick, although it's not really not that valuable but they need youth. Wallace is also turning 30 next season but he still sure will be an effective down the stretch. Maybe JT needed time to adjust, Green was also coming off from an injury too so he needed time to adjust, too. But let's see how this trade pans out for both teams throughout the season.

The day after the trade, Coach Doc called up a team meeting on his house, the players were the only ones allowed to come, that includes newly acquired Gerald Wallace. The players only had one thing in their minds: they were about to discuss new lineups, rotations and game plans for the future. The squad hasn't had a practice yet with the new team because they hadn't discussed their strategies yet.
"Alright, I'm glad everyone's able to come on this meeting I called early this morning. I guess you already know what this is all about, yes?" Rivers started the meeting, "This is all about our new roster, lineup changes and welcoming our new family member, Mr.Wallace, at least that's how I'll call you right now." Everybody clapped their hands, except for Bass, he wasn't really enthusiastic about the acquisition of Wallace. His mood wasn't happy, it wasn't sad either, it was more like he didn't want Wallace on the team. He was mad, not on Wallace though, no one knows yet. "Good morning, to you folks. You're gonna be my teammates now, I'm glad to be a part of this team and I'm excited on how I can help you guys on winning a championship." Wallace introduced. Wallace wasn't the only one excited, almost everyone was because they felt even stronger now, more confident on winning the crown.
"Alright, chitchat's enough right now, you'll get to talk later after this meeting. So, let's begin with our starting lineups. It was hard to do, a lot of you guys are good and t'was real hard to adjust your minutes. But I'm telling you there are lots of changes." Rivers began, whispers can be heard at the meeting table. "So what're the changes?" Rondo eagerly asked. "Your minutes have increased, I'd expect you to be happy. Paul, you're moved to the 2 spot, your original position before Ray--" he suddenly stopped, the thought of Allen made him sad, but he continued, "Before Ray was traded here in Boston, you'd get the second most playing time, Paul. Gerald will still be playing a Small Forward, that's where he's best at, that's where he's playing." "But, Doc, I'm kinda old now, I can't compete with the much faster guys than me right now, there a lot of good guards now." Pierce complained. "Are you a Celtic?! If you are, you should be up to the challenge, you must never, ever give up! That's what we are!" KG, who has been the firepower if this team, exclaimed to Pierce. "Yeah, you're right." Pierce replied. Doc then looked at Oden, then at Bass, whom he gave a sad look at.
"Brandon, you've played well last season at the last couple of games, but Greg has proved himself worthy of the starting position. I'm sorry, Greg, you're now the starting Center, congratulations! Kevin, you're the 4." Doc announced. Everyone was happy for Greg, except for Bass.
"After everything I've contributed to this team, you're goin' to move down?!" After Bass said this, he walked out the door and slammed it and drove away.
"Don't you guys worry about him, guys. He was just shocked of the change, he's gonna feel better, I know." Doc said.

After Bass left, most of the guys were laughing because of his childish act. They thought a 6"8 basketball dude being a crybaby?! Man, you're the next 'Big Baby'. "Alright, let's get back to business" Doc continued, "So we've had the new lineups, Avery will have the most minutes off the bench. He's proven to be a terrific defender and an excellent offensive player as well." Bradley was glad that his talents were recognized by the team, Rajon's glad that Avery would still be getting quality minutes. They had great chemistry playing together when Allen was out with his ankle injury.
"So the past couple of games we've been playing zone defense, I wanna try and experiment with this new lineup. So the majority of our next games, we'll play the typical ball defense, y'know, man to man D." Doc told his team, and he continued, "That's our defensive plan, alright? Now on the offensive side, I want the ball to come down the post, specifically to Greg and space him out. Paul will be a spot-up guy most of the time and KG will stay around 15 feet away the rim. Gerald will mostly cut to the basket, got it?"
Doc has been recognized to play zone defense in last year's playoffs and it worked well for him. So going back to the typical man defense is kinda unusual if they're defense has been working. Especially with teams that has multiple stars in them. But it might work out good too, since their next game will be the Pacers who are like the Spurs in the East.
The Celtics are scheduled to have team practice the whole week and the next week will be their game against the Pacers.

Oden has big game in first game as starter
Greg Oden has debuted for being a starter and he sure has proven he is worthy of the position as the C's blowout Pacers 90-70. He had a very efficient game, scoring 18 points, wrapping up 12 boards too and shooting 6-9 FG. Pierce also had his best shooting night of the season scoring 18 points and 8-12 FG. The Celtics took charge since the first quarter starting the game with a 12-0 run, then the Pacers answered back with 16-8 run, but finished the quarter 25-19. On the 2nd, the game started to go Celtics' way as they finished the half leading by 11, 45-34. The third quarter was when the Celtics pulled away outscoring the Pacers by 10 in the quarter and lead by 21 after 3.
Gerald Wallace scored 10 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, had 1 steal and block each in his Celtic debut. KG was the second highest scorer for the Celtics with 12. Pierce seems to be guarding his match-ups well as Granger struggled shooting the ball, 5-20, despite scoring 18 points. The other game, Pierce held Shawne Williams to 4-18 shooting.
"I just seem to be fired up for the season. I don't want guys shooting on me. I felt under-confident myself last week when I was moved to the 2 spot, but the good thing was KG was there to support me." Pierce told the media after the game.
"What do you think of your new team, Mr. Wallace?" a reporter asked F Wallace. "I feel confident, just like they all are. Two future Hall of Famers is with you to guide you in your career. I like this team and I hope I could stay here for a long while." he replied. Greg Oden, on the other hand, wasn't able to be in the press conference due to personal reasons and went back to the hotel right after the game.
The Celtics' next game will be a rematch against last year's ECF and NBA Champions, the Miami Heat. This will also be the first game the Celtics and Ray Allen meet since he signed with the Champions last July.
