Too much lack of detail; there are interesting aspects but you aren't presenting them thoroughly enough to entertain the readers. There aren't many in-game pictures and the summaries are vague, which are big turn-offs to a lot of people.

If you want this dynasty to be successful you have to put a little more effort into it. Try to look at other people's dynasty that have gotten a lot of popularity (Batman, AzN, The X), and learn from them. You'd probably notice that they do a very good job at creating different interesting things to keep people hooked.

This dynasty isn't bad, but it definitely needs a lot of work.

Stultz: How does the Pistons look this year?

JD: "The Pistons look very good for this upcoming year. The aquirement of Bernard Robinson really adds to the Pistons bench along with the experience of Antonio McDyess, Lindsey Hunter, and David Wesley. This team looks like a true championship team. I Then we drafted a big man to back up Rasheed and Ben, Its all coming together to make a championship team."

Stultz: Now that Ben and Rasheed Wallace are going to retire in the next few years, how have you prepared to replace them?

JD: "Well, first of all, no one can replace Ben and Rasheed, but I have drafted some players that will fill the shoes left by Ben and Rasheed, but not replace them. This team lives off the energy from these two players and once they are gone, someone will have to step up and become a team leader."

Stultz: What are you looking for in this year's draft?

JD: "I am looking for someone who can backup Chauncey for when Lindsey Hunter retires. We need someone to step up in the college ranks and show our organization that he can step up in big game situations.

Stultz:Okay, now alot of people want to know this for a while. Why did you trade away Darko Milicic?

JD: "Well, it was a hard decision to make, but I am glad that we did. Darko wasn't producing what we wanted him to do and then when we recieved the trade offer from the Houston Rockets, Darko approached me and asked to be traded, it was like it was planned. I think it helped the team, even though we did not repeat as NBA Champions, it will help us in the long run."

Stultz: How would you compare this year's team to the 2004 team?

JD: "Ever since we won the NBA Championship in 2004, we have become one of the biggest targets in the NBA, but now we have slipped back into what we were before we won the championship, a under-rated team once again. This year's team looks very good with the Bench getting stronger and stronger every year, we are getting back to having a bench where we can rotate players in and out of the game and not lose anything."

Stultz: Well, it has been nice talking to you.

JD: "It has been my pleasure."

2007 Playoffs

The Pistons started off the 2007 Playoffs playing the Toronto Raptors. Detroit's amazing offence ran up the score into the 110's in all the games and their defense stopped any tries for Toronto to steal a game from Detroit.

In the second round, Detroit turned their attention to the Chicago Bulls. The "Baby Bulls" almost stole Game 3 away from the Pistons. Chauncey Billups last second heroics brought the Pistons out with a win. The Piston offence and defence once again dominated this series.

In the Eastern Conference Finals, the Detroit Pistons faced Shaquille O'Neal's Miami Heat. Miami put up a good fight and beat the Pistons in Miami, but Detroit was not moved by Miami.

Now came the most excited match up the NBA Playoffs-

Detroit vs. Sacramento

Detriot took the first two games in Detroit. Then, they headed out to Sacramento for games 3, 4, and 5. Detroit came into Sacramento with a must win attitude and duplicated it on the court taking both games to win the NBA CHAMPIONSHIP.

ARTICLE-Press Update-Chuck Daly
Image

Stultz: How do you think the Pistons look this year?

CD: Well, I think this year, Ben Wallace will break out and have one of the best season he has had in his career and Rasheed will quickly follow. The only bad thing about this season, is that in my opinion, the Pistons look to be a player away from going back to the NBA Finals.

Stultz: What kind of player do they need to go to the Finals again?

CD: Well, they need another Lindsey Hunter, but taller. A package deal. They need someone who can shoot the basketball very well and also has very good aggressive defence to stop the offence from attacking the hoop.

Stultz: How do u think the aquiring of Joe Smith from Milwaukee will help the Pistons?

CD: He is the kind of player that while he is in, he will elavate the team and motivate their style of play. He is the kind of guy that does all the little things on offence and defence. He seems like he is a keeper in the Pistons organization.

Stultz: What is the difference from becoming a coach to becoming a spectator?

CD: Well, it is hard for me because once you are a coach, you are hooked for life. I want to be on the bench with the team almost every play, but I am going to leave that to Larry Brown.

Stultz: Thanks for talkin time to talk with us

CD: It was a pleasure.

The interview was ok, it could have been a tad bit longer to make it look reasonably realistic, but all in all I guess it was ok.

A suggestion I have for you is to add a little more detail on who you are signing.

For example, when you signed Joe Smith, maybe you should have given us a little more background information on him, his stats from last season, or even mention that he played for Detriot a season ago. This also goes for the guy you have just signed. How are we supposed to know who Junichi Vuu is? I sure as hell don't. Maybe you can tell us a little more and give us some more detail next time.

ARTICLE-Police Report-Fight Night II

Image

Wednesday Night, Auburn Hills-Last night the Detroit Pistons played the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The game was just like any other game. Started normal and finished normal except for the fight late in the forth quarter.

With about 5 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Rasheed Wallace went up for a slam and got fouled by Ira Newble. After Rasheed threw down the dunk after getting fouled, He went over to Ira Newble and got into his face. Moments after, Ira Newble retaliated by punching him. Then, Newble delivered a blow to Rasheed's ribs and lower areas. Then the two were pulled apart and Ira Newble was escorted by police out of the Palace.

After the game, Rasheed Wallace said, "I don't know why he reacted the way he did! All I did was show that I was pumped up about that last play and then he had to bring that (expletive) into this whole thing. The man needs some help.

We could not talk with Ira Newble because the police would not let the press anywhere near him.

Today, Ira Newble will stand on trial for Attempted Assult which could put him in Prison for up to 5 years. His trial will be at the Detroit Hedquarters Hall for the trial. There was no report of fans entering onto the court and engauging in the fight.

ARTICLE-The Aftermath
Image

Detroit, MI-Rasheed Wallace’s head was even messed up more than before. Luckily, ESPN anchors Cotton McKnight and Pepper Brooks were able to catch up with Rasheed Wallace and Ira Newble after the fight.

“Sheeeeed, how’s it going?” asked McKnight.
“Terrible. I feel like I have a headache in four different places. As soon as I got my hands on the wigger [Newble] he started pulling my hair like a little girl! I’m not sure how it looks now, but Rip [Richard Hamilton] says it’s pretty bad. I may have to go bald.”
“You might have to go bald,” said McNight
“Naw, I was just kidding!”

“Are you going to have to sit out due to injury?”
“Maybe, I’m not sure. My ribs are feeling very tender though, even though Newble doesn’t hit hard. It was just a real cheap shot though.”
“What do you think will happen the next time you two meet?”
“I’m going to try to keep it safe and avoid him, but I’ll pound on him in the game. If the jerk wants to mess wit me though, I’ll jack him up more than his pickup truck”

Brooks caught up with Newble.
“Do you regret doing what you did?” asked Brooks.
“Naw dog, I was just keeping it gangsta, you know da ropes homie. Nobody messes with the dog. You mess wit da dog, you get bit! Woof! Woof!”
“You are aware of your 3-game suspension, right? How do you think the team will do without you?”
“Man, I think they gonna be losin all 3 of them games know what I mean? They ain’t got my explosiveness, they ain’t got game like me.”
”You’ve scored single digits in most games so far.”
”That’s cuz Bron been hogging the ball.”
“He’s been injured….”
“Well McNasty been hoggin the ball.”
“You post up and take it?”
“Yep I’ll take it in the post.”
“On the perimeter?”
“Yep, out there too.”
“In the butt?”
“Any day-Wait!”

“It’s also rumored you will be traded. What do you think of that?”
“Thank Goodness! I’ll get to finally touch the ball probably!”

“Also it’s rumored you will be a guest fighter on Fight Night Round 3, would you like to be in it?”
“Yeah, sure, I could beat Ali, Frazier, Roy Jones, they don’t stand NO chance against me!”
“Well, um, see you on the bench.”

Ira Newble Update-
Can he stop fighting???
Image
Today, David Stern announced the suspension of Ira Newble for the rest of his playing career for kicking Mike Dunleavy Jr. in the jaw. When asked about Ira Newble's suspension, David Stern replied, "This needed to be done the first time he fought with Rasheed Wallace. The first punnishment was not enough and he is deserving this penalty. I believe it is a fair punnishment and it it for the good of the Cavaliers and the whole NBA."

ARTICLE-DETROIT PISTONS INTRODUCESES NEW LOGOS

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — July 11, 2005 — The Detroit Pistons are pleased to introduce a new primary and secondary logo for the 2005-06 season.
Returning to a more traditional primary identity, the Pistons have made a point to strengthen their connection with the area by including the word "Detroit". They have also eliminated any and all horse representation. The most prominent use of the new primary logo will be at center court on the Pistons floor. The secondary logo, which incorporates a subtle "D" inside the Pistons "P", will appear on the players' uniform shorts. Official colors for the new logos are PMS 199 (red), PMS 293 (royal blue) and PMS 282 (navy blue).

"The new primary logo has some subtle changes, but what a great combination of the Detroit Pistons logo from the Bad Boys era (and before) and our current word mark logo," said Pistons CEO Tom Wilson. "The new primary and secondary logos are solid representations of the Detroit Pistons and make a connection between the team and the area. We kept a very low profile at the 2005 Draft with this logo, but today we want everyone to know that we have a new logo; one that remembers the past and will carry us into the future."

Hooper, the Detroit Pistons mascot since 1996, was rumored to be losing his job as the Pistons horsepower theme was being phased out. However, because of a petition drive that saw Hooper collect over 5,000 signatures, Pistons management decided to keep the popular horse.

"Yes, he got enough signatures to convince us to keep him around," Wilson said. "We gave him a job to do and, true to the Detroit Pistons philosophy, Hooper went to work and collected those signatures. We found out how popular that crazy horse is with Pistons fans. Everybody loves Hooper!"

The new primary and secondary logos will be incorporated into the organization over the course of the summer. However, new Pistons merchandise, including hats, t-shirts and shorts, is already available at all Detroit Pistons Locker Room Stores in the area as well as online at www.pistons.com.

Image2008 NBA PLAYOFFS

The Pistons went into the playoffs trying to repeat as the NBA Champions. They came into the playoffs expecting to be the biggest target of the NBA Playoffs. It was like they had a target on all of their backs with everyone in the NBA shooting for them.

In the first round, the Detriot Pistons faced a tough Charlotte Bobcats team led by Emeka Okafor. Pistons came into this series with a winning attitude. They took the first 2 games at home but when they went to Charlotte, it was a whole different story. Charlotte prevailed in two very close victories over the Pistons. but PIstons came into Game 5 with a must win attitude and with their awesome defence, they showed the championship callibur defence and won a lop-sided victory. Then, the went back to the Palace where Detroit never looked back and took Game 6 to win the series.

Image4 Image2

Then came the Atlanta Hawks at rough, tough team. In the begining of the series, Detroit looked to put Atlanta in a hole quickly by putting them down 2 games to nothing. When they went back to Atlanta, it was a whole different story. They won the 3 games at home and almost knocked out the Pistons but they could not finish down the stretch and Detroit pulled away and won the series 4-3.

Image4 Image3

Then, the Pistons faced the BIG, BAD, Miami Heat. The Heat had turned up the heat in the Playoffs by dominating the past 2 series sweeping the Washington Wizards and the New Jersey Nets. So the Heat came into the series on fire! But, the Pistons came to put their fire out. In games 1 and 2 in Miami, Detroit smoked Miami in 2 big blowouts. They when they returned to the Palace, Miami cam back and won all 2 games there. After that they went back to Miami and Detroit kept their Finals hopes alive with a close win in Miami but Miami stormed back and ended the Pistons Finals hopes. Miami had defeated the Pistons 4-3.
