I'm hoping for a Denver Vs Toronto NBA Finals... I hope you keep up your end of the bargain anyway :)

Good luck (y). Welcome back to the board and nice to see this dynasty back as well.

Good luck in the Playoffs! I can't blame you for being disappointed with the awards results, Mo Williams as the MVP is...an unorthadox choice, to say the least.

Yeah a bit unfortunate for the awards but hopefully the game can make up for it with a great playoff series.

What kind of numbers is LeBron averaging? He would seem like the more obvious MVP candidate from the Cavs, rather than Mo Williams.

XxHyperDunk24,

Yeah he was second in MVP rankings his numbers were alright over 20+ppg. Actually it was a 2003 draft class ruling the MVP race. After Mo it was LBJ, Melo, D-Wade and my own CB4. To bad it wasn't one of them.

THE TORONTO TIMES

RAPTORS TAKE GAME 1

The Raptors have taken game one of the much anticipated series against the Orlando Magic in great fashion. The Magic dominated the match early and Dwight Howard really set the tone right from the opening tip off. However it seems the mid season trade of Calderon for Fisher was very worthwile. Fisher had 17 assists on the night and 15 points just showing how good he is in big matches. The second half was dominated by the Raptors and the starting lineup got a well deserved break for much of the 4th quarter. Special mention should go to CB4 and Jameer Nelson who put on some great scoring performances and both led their teams in scoring. In Game 2 the Magic will travel to Toronto and try and get the series on even terms. The Raptors struggled at home during the regular season and this will be a great test to see if they are a contender. (note not many stats due to the fact I lost the scores but still remembered Fishers inspirational performance.)

FINAL SCORE: 117 - 102

MAGIC EVEN SERIES 1-1

Postby Azzdogs on Tue Mar 02, 2010 1:18 pm

THE TORONTO TIMES

MAGIC OUTPLAY RAPTORS AND TIE SERIES AT 1-1

The Magic were looking to tie the series at home before travelling to Toronto and they were successful in doing that. The Magic dominated the first quarter and broke out to a 17 point lead. Leading the charge was none other than Dwight Howard who controlled both the offensive and defensive end. The Raptors were able to regroup and spent most of the second and third quarter playing catch up. In the dying seconds of the third quarter Turkoglu hit a 3 which evened the match at 95 all heading into the 4th.Both teams were trading buckets in the 4th but rebounding was a problem for the Raptors. Howard was grabbing board after board and the Magic were getting to many second hand opportunities. Jameer Nelson showed great maturity in the match and did everything right. He shot the ball well, passed it and knocked down all 10 free throws. Both teams now travel to Toronto for Game 3 in what is a very anticipated match.
