Q & A WITH STEVE NASH

Steve Nash, the Suns first PG and one of the best guards in the league talks with one of our associates during the practice. They talked about his career, his thoughts and the upcoming season.

Q-Mr. Nash, can I ask you a few questions?
A-Sure, go ahead
Q-What do you think of the new rookie Robin Lopez?
A-Well, so far he has really suprised me, he is a lot tougher thank I thought. He has a lot of potential, and a lot of luck , he can learn a lot from Shaq and Amar'e
Q-Who did you like playing better, Shaq or Marion?
Image
A-I'd had to go with Marion. He is an great all-around player and we were really good together, I'm not saying that O'Neil is bad, he is one of the greatest C of all time, but we just can't get along.
Q-What can we expect of this new, tougher Suns?
A-Our goal is to go deep into the playoffs. You can expect a lot from this team. We still have a chance of being a championship contender team, but for that we have a lot of work to do, we must become a team. We have great potentials in Robin and Amar'e, great low post force in Shaq and some great shooters as well.
Q-A number of NBA players has gone to Europe this season, guys who could easily find a place in an NBA team, Do you have a wish to go there one day?
A-No, I don't. Especially when I still have energy for playing with the best. I am planing of starting an own bussines after my career and I am sure that I won't go to Europe.
Q-What if NBA decides to play some games of their regular season in Europe?
A-I don't know what to say on that topic, you'd have to ask Mr. Stern. If the Suns are going to play there, I will too.
Q-Intercontinental flights and different time zones are a bad factor for the quality of Basketball.
A-If we travel to Europe every now and then, certainly it won't help us, it would be difficult for any player. It isn't impossible, but we would need a lot of time to adept.
Q-The second idea is to make the NBA bigger by founding another division with 5-6 Europe clubs
A-It's difficult to talk about a think I have no idea about. I am sure that the responsible people will think first and then decide what is best for the NBA and the players.
Q-Thank you for your time Mr.Nash
A-No problem

Next recap:-Preseason

PRESEASON GAMES ANNOUNCED
Image
The Phoenix Suns Preseason games have been announced. There will be unfortunately only 2 game due to my wish to start the season as soon as possible. My First game will be played at Europe against the Magic. This will be a match sponsored by Europe live Tour. I just want to get the fans on their feet in this one, hopefully we can win it. I will put Lopes on the starting C, and test him against the best big man in the league, D12. There will be a lot of pressure on him,

The second game Phoenix will play at home. It will be a charity game against All-stars. In this game we just one to make nice plays and to be as creative as possible. The result isn't important. This will conclude the preseason. Wish us luck and stay tuned!

SUNS RISE IN EUROPE

90/PHO-ORL/83

The Phoenix Suns have pulled out a victory against the Magic. It was close, but in the end it was Nash's magic that won the game. The game started good for the Magic, they got off to a quick start on the back of Lewis. He ended up with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Shaq didn't do well and was immediately sent to the bench and replaced by Lopez.
He had a fantastic night and finished with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. But the Magic was still up by few. Pietrus was doing well. He had a total of 20 points at the end. The first half finished tied at 43.

2nd Half was greatly in the Suns use. The PG's woke up and started to dominate the game. Nash was really doing well and ended with a Double-double. He had 22 points, 11 assists and 3 steals. On the other side, Jameer Nelson was doing good as well. His number at the end were 19 points and 10 assists. 4th quarter was the battle of the giants. Amar'e and D12 were practically playing by themselves. Amar'e had 24 points, 7 rebounds, 1blk and a steal while D12 had 20 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals. But it was Leandro Barbosa who decided the game with his clutch shooting. He had 14 points and 4 assists while 4/10 from beyond the arc. The Suns won but Shaq isn't nearly fitting My style of play.

Player of the Game-Steve Nash-22 points/11 Assists/3 rebounds/3 steals

Play of the day-Jameer Nelson with and incredible pass to Pietrus for the open slam.

TRADE TALKS

It was early in the morning. Terry Porter was getting to the gym to shoot a little bit. He had a little thinking about the upcoming season. He would like to give Nash a ring. But, lets face it, it's impossible. The Suns have a great team, but in todays NBA its just an average. They are like many teams, strong on paper. Porter was thinking about the western conference rivals and main threats. He knew that The Suns have no chance with some stronger teams so he started analyzing the team. He quickly rushed into Steve Kerrs office and started talking...

"Hello boss, can I have a sec please"
"Whoooa! Slow there young fellow. Say whats on your mind"-said Kerr while hiding some weird magazine under his desk.
"I have an idea you might like"
" Go ahead, I'm listening. But please just don't invite me to the pub anymore, last time I ended up with two guys in my bed"
"Umm...Ok.Anyways I was thinking and concluded that we have to get ride of some guys to get back on old tracks"
"Well...You do have a point. But...what trades are on your mind?" asked Kerr while scratching his balls.
" Well...I have a few suggestions on paper...here you go"
"Hmmmm...some really good thoughts here Terry. I really like this one with getting rid o him. He isn't playing the "SUN" way. I want you to go and speak with the Hawks GM and try to make a deal. But don't agree on anything until you speak with me. Good job Terry
"Thank you Boss. Whoa man...I have a chance of getting rid of Shaq!

Terry is excited. He knows some players on the team that are having trouble of adapting to the style of play. There are some interesting offers MR. Porter got in the last few days. This moves would of have an big impact on the team. The problems are salary cap space and age. Porter was heading to his office to call some people on possible trade talks. It is up to him to make his first big decision. Who to trade???

P.S.

In the future I will try to put some pictures. There won't be many but I'll do my best.
Rosters will be posted on the introduction post at the end of the preseason.

Thank you for following

IT'S A DONE DEAL

Porter was sitting at his office and bouncing his ball of the wall. He was thinking who to trade. He was really killing himself. He knew he can't trade neither Amar'e or Nash. Barbosa is a perfect fit on SG and nobody wants Hill. There is only one guy on the block...Shaq. Porter will try to send him along with another player for a good PF fit. That means Amar'e would be back on center. He was thinking...

"Hmmm...Shaq, Shaq, my big salary Shaq. Where can I send your not adapting ass? Boston? Naw...Won't just handle the championship to them...San Antonio...I could get alot but...Duncan and Shaq together, so rather not....Damn Shaq I really wanna get rid of you...I got it! Atlanta. Horford is good but he ain't a natural center, he goes back to PF...JOSH SMITH!!! Damn, I am a Fucking genius. He would be a perfect fit...young, quick, athletic and plays solid D. But I must give something more for him. Lets give Atlanta's GM a call....

Ring.......RIng.....Ring.......Ring........Ring....

"Hello you reached the Hawks GM Dat Ho"
"Hello this is Terry Porter from the Suns, can I have a minute of your time Mr. Ho"
"Certainly, how can I help you"
"I was curious if you would like to see Shaq in Atlanta"
"Hmmm...depends. He certainly would be a good ad to the team, you would like to pull of a trade Mr. Porter?"
"Bingo Ho...I was thinking Shaq and a player by your choice for Josh Smith"
"Whoaaa...Really wasn't hoping you would say Smiths name...he is really a merging star"
"Yes, thats why I am willing to listen to your wishes, but no Amare, no Nash and for Barbosa you need to give me another player"
"Well...can you recommend me a player?"
"Well...what about Grant Hill?
"Hahahaha...You really think I am that stupid. To get two big contracts in one deal???"
"ugh...Let me see, are a Ho..hahaha,you would need a Small forward right?"
"That is correct"
"What about Diaw going back to Atlanta"
"Sorry, I want a little bit more from you Terry"
"Common you Ho, we both know Smith isn't worth any more"
"Yes we do, but I am not giving him that easily sugar, you'd have to give me something more"
"Damn...really got me here. How about a 2nd round pick"
"That sounds Okay, let me send you the..."
"Wait, I'm not finished. I must speak with my boss, call you back in 5"

While he was getting to Kerr's office he was swearing That Whore's ass all the way. Dat Ho really played him. He entered Kerr's office and he had something to see...

"OMG!!! boss for crying out loud"
"Fuck...You didn't see that Terry"
"You have a wife and three kids and you are cheating on you?"
"Ughh...Fernando get out of my office please"
"Damn boss thats a guy???"
"You did not see anything. Why the fuck are you interrupting me"
"I got rid of Shaq...and I think its a good deal"
"haha thats my boy"
"DON'T HUG ME DAMN BOSS."
"Oh, sorry. Who did you get for him?"
"Josh Smith"
"You are a fucking genius Terry!"
"I said no touching. Damn, this ain't Oprah"
"Sorry, you just send Shaq for Smith?"
"Not exactly...Him, Diaw and a 2nd round pick for him"
" Oh I see, did you agree on the deal yet"
"No you said I must go to talk it over with you first"
"Well, I think that sounds good. But I am giving you this trade I personally wouldn't pull of. Lets see if you made the right thing"
"Ok Boss I gotta go. I have a deal to make"
"Oh and Terry"
"Ye boss"
"Say Fernando to come into my office"
"Damn you Dum Gai. Go get a room somebody can enter like I did"
"I'll lock the door"
"They will hear you"
"He sounds like a girl"
"Why is that so?"
"Well...You wouldn't like to hear it"
"Ughh...OHH...Yuck boss"

While Terry was walking to his office he was kicking his eyes. He just saw the ugliest anal sex ever
He called Dat Ho

"Hey Ho, send me the papers its a done deal"
"Not exactly Terry"
"Why now?"
"I want a first pick instead of second"
"Are you on drugs Ho, you gattabe kidding me"
"No I ain't, use it or lose it"
"How about this second and future second pick"
"Hmm...Ok I won't trouble you any more...done deal. I send you the papers and get the league approval"
"Ok bye Ho"

We got Josh Smith
Image
We send Shaq and Boris Diaw and future 2 picks...lets see if Smith is really worth all that

SUNS SUFFER LOSS IN CHARITY GAME

Pho,ARIZONA

The Phoenix Suns hold a charity game against NBA superstars. Unfortunately they lost it. In the game no real defense. although there were several players with over 2 blocks and steals. It was a fan game

Image----105
Image---90

So The Suns lost the game. At least they have given the fans a good time. There were a lot of dunks, crossovers and blocks. It was a real charity game. The biggest donation was the Dwight Howard dunk over Robin Lopez. It was real nasty...other than that Lopez had a really solid game. He had 16 and 10. with 5 Blocks. Most of them on poor Dwayne Wade. In the first quarter there wasn't any defense so it's no wonder the score was 30/27 for the superstars. The best players in the first quarter were Wade, who finished the game with 18 points, and Nash, who scored his only 5 points of the game in the first quarter. He also had 8 assists. Second quarter was extremely defensive. There was a lot of fouls, rebounds and blocks. No player couldn't score more than the rest, and the score didn't change much. At the half it was 48/46 for the Superstars.
Amar'e impressed in the first half with his strong D and great offense, the ankle injury he suffered last season was completely gone. He finished the game with an incredible 34 Points, 5 rebounds and 4 Blocks!
3rd Quarter was big time in the Superstars use. They had much better offensive execution, including a 10-0 run on The Suns. They didn't have any answer on the crashing Superstars. at the end of the third it was 82-67. Jason Kidd shined in the 3rd. He really gotten his team-mates involved in the game. He finished with 20 points, 8 assists and 2 steals.
In the 4th quarter action it was again no D and it was just a fan quarter. Lots of alley-oops and lots of jumping. The Suns didn't try to come back in the game, so the final score was 105/90 for the Superstars.
And lets all give a welcome to Josh Smith for his debut in Phoenix. He had a solid night

Top Performers in today's game

Player of the game-Jason Kidd-He had a really decent game, lots of passes for easy baskets, good jumpers and good defense-20pts/8assists/2stl/3reb

36pts/5reb/4blk/2ast

LAST DAY OF TRAINING CAMP

In the last day of the training camp there was a lot of talking and discussions. A lot of competitions and a lot of will to be in the first team in the season opener against the Mavericks. Lets hear the story about it

The Practice already started, and Porter was making an analyze on the Mavericks. He though who to put on which position, what plays shall they use and what kind of defense will they use. He started making plays and then suddenly...

"Foul...damn Josh what the heck is wrong with you"
"Sorry STAT, just a little excited man"-"You better chill the fuck out or else you'll end up cleaning the floor"-said Stoudamire while showing of Josh-"Hey Amar'e chill man chill, act as a team boys, act as a team"-Porter rushed into the court separating them.-"Coach this girl is fouling me all day man, I'm sick of it"-shouted STAT while getting to the other side of the court.-"Josh come with me please, STAT stay there I'll need you later"-said Porter while heading to the dressing room...

"WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED THERE JOSH, 1 DAY BEFORE THE OPENER YOU MUST FUCK SOMETHING UP"
"I just fouled the man coach, I'm really hyped for the opener"-said Smith while grabbing his head
"What really happened out there kid?-asked Porter-"ok,Amar'e was killing me every time I got the ball, so I tried to block him and accidentally hit him in his head...damn-Smith was chickened out-"Ok, lets go to apologize to Amar'e"
"Oh common, do I really have to"-said Smith-"Do you really wanna mess with Amar'e kid?"-asked Porter while heading to the court-"Damn, he has a point, I must talk with the big fucker"-said Smith while heading to Amar'e.
"Joshy boy, did you change you undies???"-the whole team was teasing Josh-"ENOUGH ALREADY"-Porter started shouting-"Are you boys really that stupid. No team, no success, no success, no money for you fuckers. Y'all sit down and lets hear what Josh has to say to Amar'e"-Porter finished..."So kid, what you have to say to me"-said Amar'e while forming a basketball"-"Look man, I really didn't meant to hit you, just was pissed of by getting owned, sorry man"
"Its Ok man, sorry for over reacting" said Amar'e while hugging Josh
"what a touchable moment, I think I'm gonna cry"-said Barnes and the whole team starts to laugh.

When the Oprah show finished, Porter gathered the team in a circle and started talking...

"Ok guys listen up. tomorrow is a big day, we must stay focused, I know everybody is tired because of the long training camp, but it has really payed of. Regardless of whats happened today, you are all acting as one, and that is the most important thing.Basketball is a team sport remember that while you play tomorrow. Tomorrow we must stay focused, we just can't lose that game, I have faith in you guys, just don't do any thing stupid, go stretch, Josh, lead the stretching please"-said Porter while sitting on his chair.

The stretching began, and then a crazy thing happened...

FAAART!!!!-that was the sound of Barbosa letting the pigeon go-"Damn Leo, fuck you that smells like hell"-the team started talking while putting their shirts over their heads.-"Dear Lord, that really does stink, Leandro, go run motherfucking 20 suicides"-said Porter while grabbing his nose.-"Common coach its just a fart, humans do that" said Barbosa while laughing his ass of.-"you're right, the whole team run 20 suicides"
"Barbosa you smelly bitch"-said Nash while smiling.

So the camp finished. The team is ready for the opening night against the Mavericks...keep following

SUNS WIN IN OPENER

Image-----89
Image-----92

The Suns have won in the season opener against The Mavericks. The game was supposed to be a blowout, but the Mavericks caught up and it was a very interesting ending .

In the first quarter The Mavericks were slightly better, hitting jumper and all. The defense was played very tight by both sides, there was a lot of missed shots and fouls, which lead to a low-scoring first quarter. The score was 19-19.
In the second quarter action things have changed, the game was still very tight, no team went up more than a 4 point lead, but it was just offense in this one. Many threes, open shots and layups fired up the crowd. But then Nash got injured. He got replaced by Barbosa, and he said that he would return by the end of the game. Half time score was 48-45 for The Suns.
The third quarter was a blowout. Suns Barbosa was a really good sub for Nash, despite only playing the 3rd quarter, he has really impressed, both statistically and by plays. Mavericks couldn't hold him and the score at the end of the 3rd was 74-60 for The Suns.
But then in the 4th...Jason Terry was good when needed. He really got the Mavericks going and they were catching up with The Suns. 15 seconds before the end the score was 89-86 for The Suns. Kidd had the ball, he went in for the basket and draw the double team so he passed to the open man. Terry was the open man as he buries the tying 3. Coach Porter called a timeout. "Nash, there are only 4 sec to go and I want you in, everybody just shut up and listen. Nash is going to get the ball, he is going to jump like he will shoot, and Amar'e will be under the basket, you will pass to him for the win...Everybody got it?"...The team said yes and went on the court. Nash was all shaking, he got the ball, jumped but he didn't see Amar'e under the basket...he didn't know what to do so he took the Trey over Kidd's hand. He had much luck because it went in.
"YES! I got it coach yea!!!"-"Aww my boy GREAT JOB STEVE, Amar'e damn you almost fucked up the game!!"-Said Porter as the celebration continued.
None of the players was better than others. They played like a team, Phoenix had 30 assists and 22 Rebounds. Now lets take a look on the best players of the game.

SUNS LOSE IN A CLOSE ONE

SUNS SUFFER A LOSS IN A FIGHT TO THE END

The Suns suffered their first season loss against Orlando. The game was mostly interesting, players gave their best, you could see some nice moves, like Howard with a really nice dunk after a steal by Nelson.
The first quarter started slowly, with the score 2-2 after 2 minutes. But then things finally started. Wide open shots were buried, circus shots made and defense wasn't showed. Team focused on offense and it was really tight. Pietrus buzzer beater ended the first quarter with the score at 23-21 for The Magic.
In second quarter action it was like you were watching a totally different game. Now its was defense in focus, not offense. It was a really boring quarter. No nice moves, no contested shots have been made, and offense really sucked. There were few blocks and steals, but both weren't anything special. Phoenix made a lot of fouls, Orlando a lot of turnovers. This quarter was very low-scoring, teams scored 17 and 18 points, respectably. Score at the end of the half was 40-39 for the Magic.
In the third quarter things finally got back on normal. Again offense, offense and just offense. There were some mind blowing moves, like Nelson crossing Nash over and then getting blocked by Smith, or Howard almost tearing the rim with his sweet dunk. Defense was solid, but all players were on fire, the score at the end of the third was 67-63.
In the 4th quarter it was a bull-fight, but the Magic showed to be the better side. All thanks to Turkoglu. He made some clutch shots and led his team to victory.

SUNS LOSE SECOND IN A ROW

The Phoenix Suns have a lot of work to do. They really disappointed in tonight's game against Portland. To get owned by a bunch of kids is a big hit, especially to veterans like Nash and Amar'e, or even Hill who didn't score a single point in tonight's game. Portland rebounded really well in the first half, and Coach Porter jumped out of his seat screaming very often.
The first quarter. It was a normal game. Portland and Phoenix were very close, with no team getting a lead bigger than 4. It was interesting to watch it and it was quite offensive. The score at the end of the first was 26-25 for Portland. The Suns were slightly better in the second quarter, playing mature and playing defense like Boston. But, they didn't manage to keep it up and The Trail Blazers caught up and at the end of the half it was 47-46 for the Suns.
The third quarter was a blowout. Portland outscored us by 12, it was 23-11 it the third quarter. Phoenix were falling apart and Porter didn't like it. They were out-rebounding us, playing good defense and the fans were really hyped. The score at the end of the third was 67-58.
The fourth quarter was an exhibition. Phoenix got close with behind by 2, but Portland hold on to their lead and won 87-81.
Image

Pic of the day-Amar'e gets way up for the slam, unfortunately, his 22 points weren't enough

When you look at tonight's game, some worries can be shown. Nash was really shooting bad and he isn't the one he used to be. Amar'e isn't quite explosive and was getting owned by Aldridge. It was quite a disappointing game and there will be some talks made at practice.

TOP PERFORMERS

ImagePOG-LaMarcus Aldridge-21pts/15reb

OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Amar'e Stoudamire-22pts/5blk/3reb
Brandon Roy-23pts/2ast
Steve Blake-21pts/3ast

Kwame Brown of the day

Steve Nash-11pts/6ast--8 turnovers/5-17 shooting
Nash is falling apart, can he still be one of the better PG in the game?

Hmmm.. I think you shouldve just kept Shaq, you also gave up way too much for Josh Smith...

PHOENIX WIN AGAINST THE PACERS IN A CLOSE ONE

The Suns can be quite happy with their performance today. They played really good, but what almost buried us is the Pacers ability to shoot treys. They were 70% from beyond the arc, simply amazing. Dunleavy was 3-3 from 3pt and had a good performance with 22 points and 5 assists. Also, at the Pacers, T.J. Ford had a decent game, scoring 11 points and dishing out 8 assists. He, however shot 5-22 and missed open shots that could win the game.

Amar'e posterizing Mike Dunleavy who thought he could actually block him

In the first quarter action Amar'e made this amazing dunk shown above. He went around Granger and jammed on Dunleavy. He was close to a Triple-double, having 29 points, 9 rebounds and an amazing 8 blocks. Other than that, the first quarter was quite offensive giving both teams open shots and room for creativity. So it isn't surprising it finished 30-26 for Phoenix.

Josh goes way up for the slam, he finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 blocks

The second quarter was evenly matched, it was full of excitement and thrill. Dunleavy hit 2 threes in this quarter, both widely open. He had a great shooting night. Ike Diogu was the X-factor today, scoring 19 off the bench and pulling down 9 rebounds. Robin couldn't do a thing against him, the rookie's form is slowly falling down. He had 6 points and only 3 rebounds. When the Suns found themselves behind, Raja Bell stepped in. He had a pretty decent night overall, scoring 13 and having 4 assists and rebounds. The first half finished with the score at 59-54 for the Suns.

Diogu shown that he is an excellent player, scoring 19 off the bench and having 9 rebounds
Edit-i noticed that Lopez has number 2 instead of 15, it will be taken care of.

Amar'e dunks again, now with more power and finesse

The fourth quarter was he former MVP quarter, he dished 6 assists in the 4th and scored some important basket, Nash Is slowly getting the grip. But the Pacers really had bad luck. What kept them in the game, eventually killed them. it was 108-107 for the Suns 10 seconds before the end of the game. Pacers made a pick&roll which left Granger wide open on the trey. Surprisingly, he missed it and the Suns have won the game. It was deserved, IMO. Hopefully we can get another win against the Heat.

TOP PERFORMERS

OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Josh Smith-19pts/7reb/8blk-is finally showing why we gave up all those players on him, did a great job today at both ends of the floor.
Mike Dunleavy Jr.-22pts/5ast-Had a great shooting night and is really a pure shooter.
Steve Nash-14pts/8ast/4stl-had an great night, he locked down TJ and made some crucial steals in the fourth quarter.
Ike Diogu-19pts/9reb-those numbers off the bench??? Put him in the starting 5 O'Brien please.

I realized that, I just wanted to get Smith because my opinion was that he can play the 4 as well as Marion did in the SUns golden days, and Shaq is doing great for Atlanta, you'll see in around the league recap soon
