Looking forward to this man!!! Great choice of team, nice young roster, which, making some little moves to free up some cap and get some draft picks could be a powerhouse come 2-3 seasons. Looking forward to a healthy, long franchise!!!
Will you be playing all 82 games?? Or will you simulate some?? Currently, in my association I play around 2 games a month and the result is quite satisfactory, as I get to play and advance pretty quickly, which is ideal for the long-term hauls. Feel free to take a look in my topic and post your thoughts!!
Congrats on the presentation, it looks top-notch!!

Keep up the good work!!

Thanks man :D. Yeah, the hornets now have a pretty good team, with Eric Gordon, Aminu and Henry. I have three expiring contracts in the roster, but I'm really looking to give a extension to Gordon A.S.A.P, what let us with Kaman to be traded.

About the games, I'm thinking about playing at least 50 of the 82 games, I'll play everytime agains't my division teams, and other key games. What I'm sure off, is that I'll play at least two times agaisn't every team in the NBA. Thanks again, and I'll give it a look o/

A bright light in the end of the tunnel
By Jim Eichenhofer, @Jim_Eichenhofer

So, just imagine the situation. You suffer an enormous accident, that make you go in to comma. You wake up five months later, and the first thing you want to know is: How my team is going? Oh, in this situation, you’re a Hornets fan.

“WHERE-IS-CHRIS-PAUL?” Is the first thing you would ask doesn’t it? But chill man, there’s no need to worry, I really think we have one of the most promising cores going forward. It was a huge trade nevertheless. The New Orleans is losing their main player, and the pillar of the team in the last years, the point guard from Wake Forest was a beast in the court, but, some errors from the board didn’t allow the team to go further in the playoffs, always staying in the first round in the past years. Now that Chris Paul is out, is time to begin from the scratch.

What did we get for CP3? Well, my sleepy friend, we got one of the best shooting guards in the league, a high flyer forward, and a one time all-star center: Eric Gordon, Al-Farouq Aminu and Chris Kaman. Ok, Chris Kaman is in his contract year, but the other two, Gordon and Aminu, are two very promising players, and, with some investments, and a good pick in the draft, we’ll have a team to dream with the playoffs once more. But beware my friend, it’ll be a very long and hard season. The tip-off will be in the New Orleans Arena, against Rose’s Chicago Bulls, a hard game, for a new team.

An Interesting team. That lost C.Paul must demonstrate that they can play without it. Good luck!

The new boss
By: John O'Mailey

The Hornets aren’t owned by the NBA anymore. After passing all the offseason talking about the franchise, the local group led by Horace Morris, closed the deal. Morris talked to the reporters after the deal was finished: “We, the people of New Orleans, are so happy that this deal was finally closed. The Hornets team is a very important part of our life now, and we couldn’t lose this team to any other city in the country, now, the Hornets are ours until 2024 at least!”

The talks began after the last NBA season was finished. Horace and a group of businessman of the New Orleans area got a big amount of money and made the offer. After some time, Stern began to negotiate the price of the franchise and after 3 months of talk, some up and downs, here it is, right before the start of the new season, the Hornets have a new owner, and a new board of directors.

In this afternoon, in a big press conference in the New Orleans Arena, the new General Manager for the Hornets was announced. It will be Michael Smith. Who is this guy? So, get to know a little bit of the ex-Princeton student.

Michael Smith is a 48 years businessman from the New Orleans area, one of the minor actionist from the New Orleans Saints franchise and one of the board counselors for the NFL team. He has two major degrees in business for the Princeton University and a little bit of basketball playing time for the Princeton Tigers in his sophomore and freshman years.

“I can guarantee to the Hornets fans that Michael Smith is the right choice for the Hornets.” Said Horace Morris the leader of the group who acquired the team. But, the doubts keep coming, why not Steve Kerr, or another ex-player, or at least someone who already did it? Some people are saying that Smith is there, so the group who acquired the Hornets could have maximized profit. I doubt it.

“I’m immensely happy to assume this job here and to be the front man of the Hornets, it’s really a dream come true, and I can promise that’ll do my best to make a top notch team and give all of the Hornets habitants a good and competitive team to cheer for.” Smith said as soon as he walked up the stairs and sat down in the conference room. The season is about to begin, and the first test of the New Orleans Hornets will be against Chicago Bulls, tip off will be at 19:30 pm, be there!

Rebuilding season in the way, I will try to make E. Gordon develop to be our franchise player, and maybe some good picks in the draft, and we can have a playoff team once again.

Hornets Week #1 Recap
By: JJ Smith

It’s a good feeling for every fan of basketball in the nation to have the NBA back on Rolling. For the New Orleans fans the week came with a promise of better games.

Image
Chicago Bulls / New Orleans Hornets / Stats

The first game of the season for the Hornets was against Rose’s Chicago Bulls, who came from a defeat against the Mavs in Chicago. The sold out New Orleans Arena saw an inspired Derrick Rose, coming off a 33 point game in the night before. But, Monty Williams mounted a highly defensive scheme, blocking off the wing plays with Deng and Hamilton, but letting a lane in the middle of the defense, and Rose made the most of it.

Rose goes up, and finish strong

The first half of the game saw two defensive teams fighting and feeling each other, and ended with a 1 point advantage for the home team. But, the second half stated one thing. Defense alone doesn’t win games. Rose on fire took every chance the Hornets gave, and, in the other end of the court, the Hornets couldn’t convert their chances. Eric Gordon struggled from the field and from the arch with a poor 4-16 fg, and 1-5 from the three point line , the better player for the Hornets was the power forward Carl Landry with 14 points and 11 rebounds, other two players scored in double figures for the Hornets.

New Orleans Hornets / Sacramento Kings / Stats

In the Saturday, the Hornets went on the road to face off against the Sac-To Kings. The team from the promising shooting guard Tyreke Evans was coming off a road defeat, and looking for a win to pump off the start of the season, but they saw an inspired Hornets team on the court.

The game in the former Arco Arena, started slow. But as soon as the first basket feel, it turned into a see saw battle. The Hornets were sharing the bull beautifully, and the Kings kept forcing turnovers and filling the lane effectively, attacking with the power of Marcus Thornton and Jason Thompson. And this was really the game to get back in your former team.

The second quarter began slow, and kept slow for the remainder. Both teams buckled up in the defense, forcing turnovers, and effectively shutting down the lanes, the Hornets prevailed in the low post game outrebounding the Kings, and converting all the freebies. But the breakthrough was in the second half. Led by the flawless game from Carl Landry (11-13 from the field) and backed up by the play from the guys playing Center (Okafor double-double, with 12 rebounds and 11 points, and Kaman got 8 rebounds coming from the bench) and a little help from the point guard Jarrett Jack who end up with 19 points and 8 assists the Hornets got away with the victory. It’s worth mentioning the unselfish play from both teams, as five guys from each team scored in double figures.

The next week of holds some big games for the Hornets, as they will face off against Kobe, Lebron and Tim Duncan, see the list below:

Not to much to be critical about. Try making game recaps slightly longer. Like interviewing coaches and players
But really, its great
