This was only for the 1993 arcade version, but that's pretty crazy. Especially since Midway was based in Chicago at that time I believe.

The story had been sprung back to life on Reddit and other sources I guess. Just thought I'd share.

Not surprised, the cpu was so cheesy in that game. I'm sure the game was also programmed to force over time as much as possible.

Yeah, the comeback logic was pretty brutal. On top of keeping things challenging, that's also how they got more money through the arcade machines.
