Portait For "Created Players"

Postby alren03 on Mon Jun 30, 2008 2:20 pm

Is there anyway you can create portait for your "Created Player"?
but it seems that when I try to create portrait for them the new rookies in dynasty mode also uses my portrait... :?:

As long as you assign it to a specific player (ie using a unique PLAYERPKG) you shouldn't have any problems.

I tried it, but it seems everytime I edit my PLAYERPKG for my created player, it won't appear in the "plyrprts.viv" when I try to OPEN them using the bigGUI or the EAgraph

Place the art files in the sgsm folder instead.

Your custom portrait file. The one you want to use with your created player.

Is it the fsh file that you are referring to? or are there still other files rather than that, that I have to copy?

do I still have to rename it according to my "created player"?

I already tried it, but it won't work. I already place them in the sgsm folder then I rename them according to my "created player" playerpkg. But when I try to run the game and see my created player's portrait it's just a BLANK portrait not the default faceless portrait....

Try changing his ISCREATED to False.

Remember that you have to hexedit the ebo file to your playerpkg, also.

Set ISCREATED back to FALSE, then try this.

1. Lets say your PLAYERPKG is your forum username, alren03
2. In the players.dbf file you change your player's PLAYERPKG to alren03
3. You extract any portrait BIG file from the VIV file to the sgsm directory.
4. Open it in a hex editor and search for the filename(original player's portrait PLAYERPKG) without the extension. You should come up with 5 instances.
5. Do a search and replace for the filename(it may be called FIND and REPLACE or just REPLACE), replacing it with your PLAYERPKG(alren03) You can also just manually replace it if the hex editor does not have that function.
6. Save it.
7. Import your graphic file into the FSH with wDolffin.
8. Your portrait should now display in-game.
