Each portrait takes roughly an hour to make, sometimes more. There are over 400 in this mod. Obviously some were taken from the game files, but the portraits IN the modded folder is 400+, the ones taken from the game were just assigned.
The logos don't take long. I convert/make the majority of the courts. If it's a one texture court, it takes like 15-20 minutes, if I have to piece the entire court together, it takes an hour and sometimes more. There are over 50 custom courts in this mod.
Making the 3D uniforms with accurate numbers for the star players takes time as well, all the new teams have correct 3D uniforms, and all the default classic teams uniforms and 3D uniforms were touched up by PeacemanNOT (Thank you!), and all the 3D uniforms and game uniforms are accurate for all 40 classic teams. That takes time.
Each team has an accurate head coach (lookalike or real), this includes coaches name. That takes time as it's mostly done in cheat engine.
No "Name changing" issues when you exit and re-enter the roster, as names via cheat engine were added to the games name bank. This took quite awhile, because a lot of names were missing from the name bank.
Accessory colors were changed for the teams that needed it, this includes the headband. This will be included in the release, and took quite a bit of time to figure out and implement in cheat engine (Only works with the October.exe or before)
All arenas are named properly via cheat engine, this is time consuming, but was made easier because of an amazing cheat table made by carolusxci.
I created stadiums for teams that were lacking a stadium. The stadiums are not 100% accurate, but the seating color, stanchions, jumbotron colors and logos, banners, door logo, no slip mat etc have been updated to include the correct team logo and team colors.
The team color schemes (Think scoreboard and jumbotron advertising) were made accurate via cheat engine, this took quite awhile to figure out as well. All of the euro teams had incorrect color schemes (For example, The 66-67 Warriors showed up as green on the scoreboard before the change).
Stats have been removed from the players of the new classic teams, giving the roster a more authentic feel, as opposed to having random stats assigned to the players.
Size-ups/player DNA was assigned to players throughout the league for an authentic experience. Once again, done through cheat engine.
The correct dunk packages were assigned to the players who warranted them via Limnonos Modifier.
I've shown some of them on here, but I have made cyberfaces for a bunch of the missing players, and made tweaks to others. I have fixed 50+ skinny body types, there are virtually none left in the roster. This takes time. Cyberface wise, I have converted probably 30+ cyberfaces from 2K18. Examples include: Scot Pollard, Rasho Nesterovic, Brent Barry, Gerald Wallace, etc). Examples of body edits include Eddie House, Luther Head, Gary Payton, etc.
Unlocked teams via cheat engine, and brought the euro team rosters to 13. The process of figuring that out sucked.
This is all work that can't be done on console, and is incredibly time consuming. All of that doesn't even include doing the players vitals, badges, attributes, tendencies, hot zones, signatures, etc. Going into 2Ku and making sure the shot looks accurate, watching the players game film to make sure the signatures look right, etc. That process alone takes probably 5+ hours per team when done right. When I was doing the Wizards, I timed myself, and I think it took me between 4 and 5 hours just for that portion of it.
Your work on console is admirable considering you are working with much less in the form of accuracy, but I can't even describe the amount of time the extra items above take in the grand scheme of things. And, it's not just for the new classic teams in the roster, it's filling all of the current default classic teams accurately. As you know, so many players are missing (Replaced with fakes), so whether the player was in the games files and needed to be assigned, or I had to make a face or choose a great lookalike, those players are also accurate. This includes a lot more portraits that were created, and again, the attributes/tendencies/signatures/vitals etc for the players.
My brother and I do this roster together. Here is the work breakdown:
Note: This doesn't include names like PeacemanNOT that helped with V1, this is just a breakdown of my brother and my responsibilities.

The good thing is: My brother and I have LIVED basketball, so he knows his stuff. We work really well together and both care a lot about accuracy. He is also very good in Paint.net, and makes amazing portraits. When he does that, it gives me more time to create courts, faces, and other aspects to increase the accuracy.
It's nuts how much work goes into doing this right.... REDMC was player DNA on steroids, it was incredibly easy to copy a player onto another in one area, many, or all. The lack of RED MC and Player DNA, and the lack of help (No offense to ANYBODY on NLSC, partly because I didn't ask a lot for it) is just a huge time killer. It's worth it in the end, but just remember that the roughly 1900 files in the modded folder didn't get there by accident. Ha.
