I like to think I contribute something to this place of epic proportions like the way Joel Anthony contributes epicly to the game of basketball.

10K. That's a lot of posts. Only 5 other guys in this place has more. The leading guy has 515% more than 10K but that can be excused since he's the webmaster. The second leading guy maybe excused as well for having that many posts since an entire nation mostly hates him and he has to explain himself. While the others are just freaks, and that doesn't even include the twisted Dutch dude who's beyond words to describe.
I'm also nearing a decade of posting here, joined late '01 or early '02 so I also spent a lot of time here, or wasted time whichever you prefer. There's something about this community, whether it's seeing the Pillsbury Doughboy doing a thread regarding losing weight with a console or finally finding that one person you can stalk on a social networking site (
) who's good on vectoring, especially pussies. This place offers something for each and everyone I guess. It's safe to say that all of us here appreciate basketball unless you're a numbers peddler whose only intent is to spread blatant lies with statistics instead of letting the people watch and enjoy the games in peace. It's enjoyable to know that you can interact to a total stranger in another part of the world because both of you root for the same team or knowing someone who can expand your insight regarding college basketball because you're too lazy to do it on your own.
Being able to interact with people from around the world is a good enough lone reason to be in this place of the internetz for a long time, whether it's knowing someone weird like a hip-hop loving german, a tattooed peace-loving-no-backbone frenchman (ugh), a south american whose mane is enough to put the wolfboy to shame, a Robert Swift look-a-like, or an Apple-loving Canadian (one of the worst kinds of Canadians if you ask me).
Of course there are also normal people to meet here in the NLSC, if you happen to consider being a drummer in a band (no one digs drummers, only guitarists or lead singers), a soon to be policeman who's also a U.S. nut, an advocate of driving while high and Pacers supporter, a bald asian that digs pinays, being gay, or an Adrien Brody/Tom Cruise look-a-like as being normal.
There are also "distinguished" members here far beyond the usual teen demographic of a site like this gets. The gentleman that they are, they offer insights or reminisce about basketball history that they witnessed firsthand and share it with the members here to clarify our basketball knowledge, but most of the time they end up fucking senile like the old people they are.
It's not always good things here in the NLSC, sometimes you see bad things that just tugs at your heart and can't help but feel sad upon reading such unfairness of life to persons such as a Ron Mercer fan, a grown man that plays with plastic dolls, a Sonics fan that now keeps on bandwagoning with other teams, a fucking emo from New York, or the worst fate of all - an asian canadian. The one that really makes me feel sad and pity is seeing a disabled person, not sad and pity for him but for me, knowing that with even two legs I could never be that badass of a dancer like that person. The only thing that comforts my self-esteem is knowing that I don't (intend to) have a soccer mom car and the only thing that keeps me able to sleep at night and forget the plight of those other unfortunate souls is that at least they don't have to suffer the agony of living in that backwater place called Thailand or be a ghey belt pink lacoste wearing freak in Italy.
It's good to know that there are also members here that are pinoys, but I'm also saddened that most of them have the intellect lower than that of a monkey on LSD and have built upon the foundation of a negative reputation. It's like if you have pinoy blood running in your veins you automatically have a tendency to steer to the negative in the forums, like in fantasy sports where you can be considered as really really good but just because your the spawn of satan (or unable to forget the crime of a QRich/Yao trade). Even if you're an MMA and Spurs fan, you're still semi-retarded because the effect of what the other pinoys have done.
Good thing that there higher-ups in this place are ready to help despite all that. They're so helpful they're even willing to help a stinking frenchman regarding problems with his sound system, that already tells you a lot about how good and willing they run this place called NLSC.
Better finish this lest I become a douchebag who constantly starts something but never get around to finishing stuff, like some asses in the dynasty/association threads...

Was planning to do a scouting report based on the year joined as a shoutout for the milestone post, like I always wanted, but that would take some time for each member that I would include and also might forget some members that I would like to give a shoutout to, and the fact that nobody can be Kwame Brown since the earliest joined year was 2002.
