Definitely. It goes without saying I'm sure but luxuries are also out until the cash flow starts up again. I ate into my savings a little too quickly when I was out of work a few years back when I gave into a few impulse buys here and there, like DVDs. It all adds up.

No question. The good thing is that work isn't a problem since I'm self-employed, so I don't have to worry about dragging myself to work ill or lose my job. No sick pay of course and if I don't work I don't get paid, but fortunately previous customers are generally happy to wait a couple of days to have their PCs looked at when I'm ill, or they'll bring it to me. It's not like I'm at death's door either so if it came down to it I could go out on a job if it was an emergency or a new customer who's more willing to call someone else if I can't make arrangements soon enough.
Worse still, I like to exercise every day to the point where I'm now pretty much addicted to it, so I'm currently trying to get pumped up enough to head out for the usual 5k run this afternoon. I felt pretty good on the run yesterday while the exercise high was going but then spent the afternoon in bed.

I kind of like the look of Chinese/Japanese people. i dunno, i just do"

Good to know there are Aussies trying to learn the customs and etiquette when it comes to tipping.
