Relax yourself ...

Ever feel really tense and just want to relax? Try this. For it to work, you have to think about relaxing your muscles and then do it. It helps to go limp when you relax.

Take deep breaths, slow down your heart. Relax your feet ... your ankles ... your knees ... your legs. Keep breathing deep breaths.

Relax your hips ... your stomach ... your chest ... your shoulders. Keep breathing deeply.

Relax your arms ... your wrists ... your fingers. Keep breathing.

Relax your neck ... your jaw ... your face ... the back of your head. Don't forget to breathe deep breaths.

Finally, relax your mind, think of nothing at all. Feel better?

Try it, it really works. I do it if I can't get to sleep, it'll completely relax your body. Plus, this is a good way to fake being asleep :P

Faking sleep is easy. I've bee doing it all my life and never been caught.

I read something about some people being able to relax themselves into a hypnotized state... some crap about being able to perceive brain waves too... not too sure how that relates with something like this though.

I could def. use this though. I have so much stress from my classes that my muscles start spasming, and I have bad chest pain... not on the heart side thankfully

Thanks for the tips, CG. I struggle to get to sleep sometimes. And the later it gets into the night, the more frustrated i get at the fact that i can't sleep, and it's kind of a vicious cycle.

Shall come in handy. (Y)

Hardest part is to think of nothing at all. My brain is hyperactive.
