How to burn big files on a cd

I downloaded a big, 760 mb video... And I want to burn it in some cd... But it's too big for the cd (nearly 700 mb)...

Any of you guys know any programs/softwares that allow me to partition the file, or do you have any other suggestions?

hmmm, a friend has a program that allows you to make the file smaller whislt retaining the same quality. I don't see him often though but maybe someone else can help out. I'm sure it can be done

If your using Nero, just overburn the CD.

Open the main "Nero Burning Rom(not Smartstart)
Goto file then "Preferences" then "Expert Features"
Tick the "enable overburn disc-at-once"
Change "Max CD Size" to 82 mins

Now you SHOULD be able to overburn upto 800mb on a 700mb size CD.

Alternatively if you have any problems you could always write a cue file, but that would mean you would have to convert you file to a disc image and that just a lot of fucking about.

Re-encoding the video is not the best idea, as you ALWAYS lose some quality and its such a lengthy process.

There are lots of programs out there that will allow you to split a video file, however on a large file like that its not advisable as all sorts can go wrong, normaly its with the audio and its all purly down to the amount of video/audio codecs in use today.

u can split up the video into parts using winrar..
how to do it exactly i'm not too sure
