I need some help with studying.

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I need some help with studying.

Postby Blasphemy on Tue Mar 14, 2006 9:12 am

Hey guys. Well my grades arent as great as they usually are this marking period. I usually get all B's and a couple of A's. Rarely a C. But its the midterm of the 3rd marking period and I have like C's in every class. Its cause of the god damn test, I just suck at studying. I study all day and all night long but I still gets C's and D's. The only way that I manage A's isin classes were there aerent much tests and alot of home(I always do homework).

But when it comes to studying I fade out. I do have a tv and cpu in my room and that really makes me want to get everything done very quikly and start doing one of those things. But the most important thing in studying is to rememeber what you spent the last 6 hours studying.

So if you guys have any techniques that you use to help you study please post and, ill really appreciate it.

Best advice:

Instead of posting and doing Adobe PS stuff, hit the fucking books.

Now be gone.

OH, so you think you can get into college if you have B's in elementary school? Wait till you get to highschool. Your marks will drop significantly. Elemtary is easy stuff.

Hell you think you have it tough , I have to review over 200 pages of British History which includes 3 books and over 5 chapters. I did get a 100 on the last test though , that's almost impossible to do in college. (Y)

break up your studying. if you have 4 chapters to study, study a chapter a day, then review the day before the test. don't study the day of, you'll just start second guessing yourself.

Personally I study right before tests. Just study the main parts of the unit or w/e. Study while listenign to music (personally helps me). Try finding short-cuts.

Highschool is all that actually counts. If you can't make the grades in Middle School, you stand no chance in highschool. It's 1000x more labor intensive.

Well im officially gonna fail. (N)

Heres what I gotta learn...

Infectious Diesease
The Bodys Defenses
Preventing Infectious Diseases
Noninfectious dieseases

I suck at science. When I grow up I wanna be a mathmatition or a programmer or somethin galong the lines.

But who the hell needs to know about diseases if your not going to be a doctor or scientist.

Don't worry about your grades! Get your credits, graduate and join the military! I'm serious, it's the way to go. They don't care about your grades and you can get free college there. It's a great deal.

Infectious Diesease - Bacterial and viral diseases... anything that can be spread between organisms.. google it for some examples...

The Bodys Defenses - The body has both specific and nonspecific defenses. The inflammatory response is a nonspecific defense in which the body attacks foreign antigens by dialating the capillaries and allowing macrophages to ingest the particle (such as a splinter, etc...). A specific defense mechanism is the immune system, where antibodies are produced against a specific antigen. (i could get into pages of garbage on how this shit works, but i dont think u need it...)

Preventing Infectious Diseases - hope you know how to do this one.

Noninfectious dieseases - Diseases which are not transferable between organisms... genetic diseases... over production of hormones, (down syndrome, etc)

Cancer and the Envirement - Carcinogens are cancer causing agents which can cause cells to mutate and divide rapdily if one is overexposed. Ultraviolet radiation and nuclear waste are carcinogens.

Is that all you need to know? Better be, cause that's all you're getting from me
