well thats too bad... because Hornets insist to include Gordon, Kaman and Bledsoe for the CP3 deal

there's nothing wrong with his knees. he has cartilage in his knees.
Paul underwent surgery on the knee in early February. Noted orthopedist Dr. James Andrews, unable to sew the damaged piece of cartilage, cut it away instead, one of the primary reasons Paul played in just 45 games last season, and New Orleans found itself in the draft lottery instead of the playoffs.
Knees have two meniscus cartilages between the femur and the tibia bones, which provide a cushion so the bones do not grind together.
Because Paul’s torn meniscus could not be repaired by knitting it back together and the tear was sliced away, there’s the prospect of less cushioning cartilage between the bones, making it possible for some bone-on-bone wear and tear in the knee.
Portland’s Brandon Roy recently underwent surgery on both knees because of that issue. Microfracture surgery is sometimes an option for athletes who’ve had cartilage removal.

that's a bold statement there. do you work for draftexpress or nbadraft.net? hehe...
i don't follow the college game much anymore. i saw a few games from the ACC-big ten challenge. i enjoyed watching Duke get destroyed by Ohio state.
but yeah- what is this assessment based on? the college season is barely underway and the "experts" are already predicting greatness??!!

It's pretty common knowledge. The 2012 draft has had big expectations even since the 2011 draft. With players like Harrison Barnes and Perry Jones deciding to skip the 2011 draft and stay in school (probably due to lockout fears), and other studs like Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond, Jared Sullinger, Jeremy Lamb, Quincy Miller, Austin Rivers (just to name a few) also in the draft, it may actually be even better than 2003.
2003 was more top-heavy than 2012 with superstars like James, Wade, Melo, Bosh, and Darko Milicic... but it's the number of quality players in the 2012 that has people drooling... probably the deepest draft i've seen... and it'll probably only get deeper as the college season continues on and reveals some more talent. If you're a rebuilding team, you want a lottery pick or 2 this year of all years for sure.
Basically, 2012 is the fruit of the "you must play at least 1 year in college" rule.

reading the certainty in your post makes this even more interesting. i haven't heard this much hype for a draft class this early since.. hell i don't know. Not even when Duncan stayed for an extra year at Wake.
Were any of these guys members of the All-American team last year? 2nd?
Nick wrote:2012 isn't that hyped. I would say 2003 was much more hyped because of LeBron and Melo. Even 2007 was more hyped with Oden and Durant. 2012 isn't that hyped because it doesn't really have a clearcut 1 or 2 players (although you could possibly consider Anthony Davis and Andre Drummond as the top 2?). The 2012 draft just has hardcore basketball fans excited in general. (doesn't have media hype yet)
As for All-american team, i'll assume you mean for college and not the mcdonalds high school thing (me = silly aussie). Nobody except Jared Sullinger made the all-american team last season because most of them are freshmen (davis, drummond, lamb, rivers, miller), or were freshmen last season.

The only downside is that because of the depth of this draft some of those guys might stay in college to avoid being caught in the crowd.

-1 (lol)
so are you backing off your statement?? haha. seriously- this era of social media- everything is hyped. once ESpn started televising LBJ's high school games that blew the lid off. NBA coverage on the draft goes overkill on whatever story it it can grab but that's around pre-draft workouts and what not. the season has barely started and "it's common knowledge" that this draft class is so beastly. if that isn't over hyped, i don't know what it is.
and wasn't this last draft class viewed as pretty weak but only Sullinger made it.. on the 2nd team?
