PS4 Exclusive Content Revealed

Some Gamestops are selling the game early (brb!) and the back of the box lists the exclusive PS4 content we were curious about.




So Black Ice Jewelry boosts & Playstation branded gear for purchase, and a Playstation court in THE PARK....boom (PS3 has a reskined Rooftop court for blacktop, with PS3 logos on the court and Playstation banners)

Also, Park info, 100 MyPLAYERs in 1 park, Street ball, socialize, watch games in progress, and MORE.

As far as exclusive content is concerned, that's pretty underwhelming, but on the other hand that's probably the way it should be. Core features shouldn't be platform exclusives after all and I guess those are nice bonuses for the people who care about them.

If that MORE part includes trading of virtual stuff, boom, in-game economy.



The challenge then would be making those traded virtual stuff retain value and usefulness with each version of the game so the players' investment with the current version of the game won't be wasted if they get the new version after a year.
Imagine Jordan 1 shoes or Wilt Chamberlain MyTeam card (in his prime, 100 points in a single game!) being a rare game commodity that players will be willing to pay $200 of real money to the current owner just to trade it to them.


Ranting yes but it's a rant grounded in reality.
