07 or 08, odesnt really matter to me but maybe we can get more out of 06 or 08, 06 because of the 2x textures (i know we have now 2x Jerseys for 08, but I remembered that we can also use 2x arms in 06, too)

What is the most important aspect for you when playing NBA Live?
I´m really smoothness-freak. I´d like too see smooth animations and great graphics (which nearly already have).
It has to feel good to play it. I dont care about realism that much.

I would try to help in this mod if I could help (even though I´m not a great PAtchmaker; and JaoSming please check your PM)...

Which year would you like to see updated with this mod?

From memory, I think NBA Live 2005 or NBA Live 06 would be the best bet. 2005 has the advantage of not having any FSS moves for users who don't like them and it also doesn't have the Primacy recalculations; it's sim engine is fairly solid, though not perfect. NBA Live 06 wouldn't be a bad choice since we could still disable FSS moves for all players in the league and its sim engine isn't too different from 2005 from memory but the Primacy recalculation is a pain.

What is the most important aspect for you when playing NBA Live?

A realistic emulation of NBA basketball, with stats that are true to life (or as close to being true to life as possible) that contains a certain fantasy aspect, that being the ability to take control of an NBA team and play GM/head coach while also taking part in the action on the court.

Live 08 though I haven’t bought Live 08 coz of the sim engine issues but if this could be fixed then I will definitely grab a copy. If that bug can be fixed then you should definitely make the mod for this.

Gameplay and most of all, the dynasty mode.

From Live 2003 to Live 2008

Which year would you like to see updated with this mod?

- To me, Live 2004 was the most updated game and I don't think it'll be necessary to update it again.
- Live 2005 was IMO one ofthe best NBA Live games, because it was the last Live without FSS, it'd be cool to patch it, because moreover, patching was limited because we couldn't modify headshapes and other things.
- '06 and '07 started with the new FSS moves, and even though this didn't bother me at all, I didn't like it, IMO the game had lost a lot of realism and it wasn't that fun at all actually.
- '08 is, I think a quite better game, with few sig shots which is a good part of investment from EA, that shows EA don't forget PC players and try to improve again and again. So, I think '08 would be a great game to update, to patch, like '07 with the SUM.

What is the most important aspect for you when playing NBA Live?

Umm... without hesitation, gameplay. A rather balanced gameplay between arcade and simulation, but tending towards simulation of course.

Dynasty mode is also important, '08 actually surprised me when Dynasty started with Draft end staff recruitment, etc...

Prolly 2005. I played it some weeks ago, only with an updated AIAct and it was very fun to play.

Fun and realistic gameplay. I don't want to play a game that makes me smashing my gamepad on the floor every minute.
Nice graphics would be also nice.

Yeah, I just installed 2005 (Thanks for the reminder btw) and downloaded Seushiro's latest aiact, but I didn't find a fast-break fix. Is it included in the act?

I'm now definitely for Live 2005, bring that great game back! I hope it's one of your two choices.

Dynasty:

ability to edit everything.. from player rotation, starters, playing time, etc.. name it.. except player ratings, i want it to be "natural"..

i would want trades to be more realistic.. hopefully there could be a Garnett-for-seven-players type of deal in nba live..

Gameplay:

i hate it when cpu teams, especially all star teams can catch up even if they are down by 30 in the last 5 minutes of the game..

i hate it when cpu players make ipossible plays.. (eg. Olajuwon doing a 360?, Abdul-jabbar going for a tomahawk or a windmill? WITH POWER!!) i mean Olajuwon and Abdul-jabbar WERE NOT POWER PLAYERS..

i hate it when even cpu players steal the ball even if the ball merely gazed their fingers..

i hate it when even if cpu players last touchced the ball and went out of bounds, it would still be their ball..

i hate it when cpu players make very improbable blocks and dunks...


like any other nba live users, we want the gameplay experience to be REALISTIC AS POSSIBLE...

Graphics:

Please don't make the graphics to great to the point that i need tobuy a new video card everytime there is a new nba live released..

ilikfe the graphics of 07 and 08.. simple and good, yet, it can be handled by my video card...


Player ratings:

Hopefully player rating would be realistic as possible...

Additional:

Hopefully users can create their own team like in 03..

players can save their game in between quarters or even during the game like in 03..

hopefull there will be good and better cutsces like in 04.. (eg magazines before all star break and after nba finals, when players get traded out and in, and retired)...

this will be it, for now.. i am still contemplating...

Gameplay, of course, is top priority. Other than that, player development. Some players in the league have breakout seasons. With current player development on Live, that's impossible and disappointing. After a few runs through dynasty mode, it becomes old.
