Custom Portrait help

hey guys, i was making a custom portrait for live 07, i did all the things, including making the picture a PNG file, but in my game its not transparent, the team is covered up, it just shows my portrait with the white square around it

i am wondering if anyone can help me, is it because the background of FshX is blue or something like that? because all the other portraits didn't have the white surrounding, it that is the problem does anyone know how to fix this?
