Nahhh theres no way its next-gen. EA would have definitely said something about completely re-doing the graphics for PC (or even making changes to the gameplay so expect little differenes there too) as this would have been the first next-gen Live on PC. They made so many bull-shit videos about the console (Xbox 360 mainly) version of NBA Live 08. And we heard NOTHING about the PC version except that its coming out on PC too. Unless they plan to totally shock the PC gamers with Xbox 360/Ps3 port on the PC hahahaha which is HIGHLY UNLIKELY.

^Yeah, EA would have been strutting all over if NBA live for the PC was nextgen. Hell, PC gamers don't matter much to them so why would they give us the satisfaction?

I wouldn't mind being proven wrong but given what we've been told thus far, I would suggest anyone still holding out hope that the PC version will be identical to the 360/PS3 versions is in for a big disappointment. Perhaps the PC version's graphics look more polished than the PS2 version's but my guess is that they are otherwise identical, save for the ability to mod the PC version.

Hi all..
Yesterday Night, i played with '08 for PS2..
i'm sincerly disgusted... i don't believe what i played..
the '07 version is 2 times better, not for the graphic, but about the features, like: superstar control doesn't exist any more, the rosters are full of bugs, with missing faces and photos and also the ratings are not very well; and most of all EA reput toghether the dunk and lay-up in the same button, so i can't decide by my self if dunk or lay-up the ball.....

i write all this things about PS2 version, because i hope that PC version will be better... i truly hope this...

Sorry for my english...
Bargnani, Belinelli and Gallinari the revenge of Italy!!!!

The PC version will be pretty much the same as the PS2 version, except that it can be patched.

Got PC today and after simming a season here some quick points. Seems to be exactly the same as ps2. Haven't had enough game play to make much assesment.
Players average way too much. This seems to be due to fg %'s being way too high which in turn results in rebounds being way down. League leader was 6.5 rpg. Assists are down too and have big men leading with 7apg and the likes of Nash around 5. Rosters are terrible, can't wait for em to be updated. I like the international teams but wouldn't mind a few more teams. Dynasty scenario sim is pretty cool. Am spewing about the stat fuck ups year after year after year after year!!! Saving grace is they are fixable.

Sedge (or anyone who has PC version), any way to know if '08 is widescreen-compatible?
I doubt it, but just in case, thanks in advance...

It's been confirmed for a while now, though now that the game is actually out the speculation about it being the same as the 360/PS3 version might finally be squashed.

When i hold the space button and the hot-spots apear! But i only just got the game and what i can say is this!Dynasty is the same as last year from the quick glimpse i had...The gameplay is little bit better than 07,the lay-up and dunk buttons are not separated, the backdown button is back...The graphics are the same, but somehow better than last year(i don't know why)...Well thats for now...If i find something interesting i'll post it here! Made small Video

http://rapidshare.com/files/64629935/nba_live_08.avi.html

Game runs bit smoother than the one last year, also rebounding looks a bit better now..

but in my first game the phoenix suns didnt take open shots...maybe 1 or 2 in the hole first half!!

But overall we should have got this game last year
