I think they're both bad. If you're willing to watch Rookie of the Year then you'd be OK with Like Mike... Like Mike I don't think could appeal to quite as broad an audience as Rookie of the Year though.
As for greatest basketball movie ever? I really like Hoosiers, you can't beat it. Glory Road and He Got Game are both great as well. Coach Carter was entertaining, but in looking at it more closely its not really that great of a film, but still entertaining. I still don't think you can beat Hoosiers though.
