VERY new at this...need help please

hey guys =)

well i just got NBA Live 07 and i was looking thru the internet and i've seen VERY great patches such as the Greg Oden Face Patches...the sweat patches....and as well as the real shoe patches. I would like to know how to put these in my game, because I wanna be safe and not corrupt any files. also, are there any special programs i need to download and learn how to use.....i really need a simple tutorial that will explain to me the basics and such.

Sorry guys but the wiki thing did not help me at all because i had no idea what they are talking about lol. I dont want to create my own patches but to add the awesome ones that ppl made on the net =) THANK YOU

Usually the download's come with some simple instructions. Basically, you extract the file or files(.FSH, .BIG) into your "EA Sports\NBA Live 07\sgsm" directory. In some cases there will be VIV files which need to be put in their proper directory. In most cases, the author of the patch put the instructions in a text file inside the archive.

oohh thanx for the quick reply !! =) so i dont need those programs under the "Tools" section of this site ?? is that just for making my own patches?
